Dee's Roast Pork for Tacos

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
Oh my! This is so good. I used a bone in shoulder but roast that was almost 8lbs. I kind of eyeballed the ingredients for the rub but didn't really add more than the original recipe. I put the rub on and then let the roast sit in the fridge for about 12 hours. Put it in the crock pot on high and cooked for another 12. Perfectly moist and shredded easily. We will be adding this to the family cookbook.

Butter Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
I haven't made it in the crockpot yet, just do it on the stove. Cook the meat, deglaze the pan with butter and mix in the soup mix. I mix it into the noodles. Have made it several times for both my family and the one I work for and everyone keeps asking to have it again.

Byrdhouse Blistered Cherry Tomatoes

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
We love these. Made them for our midnight snack again tonight. I sometimes add a little grated parmesan over them after they are put into the serving bowl.

Neat Sloppy Joes

So much better than the canned stuff we used to buy. This is my "go to" recipe. Even my picky son gobbles it up.

Secret Burger Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
I used about 1/4 cup garlic mayo (left from another recipe) + 1/4 cup regular mayo. Other than that, I followed as written. So yummy! Hubby made a grilled ceese with it. Told me that it was a 10 star recipe and we needed to keep a batch in the fridge at all times!

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with Garlic Mayo

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
This was a great recipe! I seasoned up the meat with garlic powder and montreal steak seasoning and let it set for a few hours. Also, I made up the mayo and let it set to really get the flavor through. Will be adding these to our menu rotation.

Ricotta and Tomato Sandwich

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
I mixed the italian seasoning and a little garlic powder into the ricotta and then spread it on the tomato. Sprinkled with sea salt when I put the sandwich together. It was really good and is something we will be making often.

French Fry Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Followed recipe to a "T" the first time and didn't care for the flavor of the cheez whiz. Substituted shredded cheese the second time and it went over much better. Quick and easy recipe that fills the kids up and gets me out of the kitchen fast after a long day at work.

No Fry Crab Rangoon

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
I halved the recipe since there were only three of us. Also, I lined a mini cupcake pan with the wonton wrappers then filled them so they were like little cups. The filling was outstanding. I'm suprised I had enough because mu hubby kept stealing bites. Will make these again. I am only rating a 4 since I didn't make exactly as directed.

Tasty Tender Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
I browned cubed pork and threw everything into the crockpot. Served it over brown rice. Very good. When I made it the second time, I shredded the meat and served on buns, the kids ate it all!

Real Welsh Rarebit

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
Very good recipe. I used all milk instead because we aren't beer drinkers. Also, I added red pepper flakes to my serving for extra kick. We served it over onion bagels for lunch and my hubby was surprised how good it was. Later that night, I warmed up the left overs (had to add a little more milk) and made cheese fries. We decided it would be a great late night snack. Will be adding it to our rotation.

Byrdhouse Easy Ginger Beef Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
These were very good. I had some issues with the how the meat turned out but I know it was my fault, not the recipes. It was way to "soupy" so I added cornstarch and served with rice. Will do things the way sunny described in her review above. Also, I will use green onion instead of regular.

We LOVED this! Served it over brown rice with a salad. The girls I take care of cleaned their plates without a complaint.

Tender Italian Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
I just eyeballed the ingredients for the coating. I also added some oregano and paprika. Chicken was very juicy. I sliced up the leftovers and served in tortillas with some mayo mixed up like the coating and bacon and cheese. We will have this again!

Chicken Fajita Melts

This was soooooooo good. I used green peppers instead of red but other than that followed the recipe. The next time I make it I will slice my bread to be like French Bread Pizza as I think it will be easier to eat. Thanks for a great add to my box LMP!

Pork Chops with Dill Pickle Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
I used 5 pork chops sliced off a tenderloin and added the pickle juice in when I froze the meat. When I cooked them, I pan fried in olive oil to brown on both sides then deglazed the pan with water. Placed all in a baking dish, baked at 350. My guests raved over it and couldn't believe that plain ole pickle juice gave such good flavor. They were the most tender chops I've had.

Easy Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
I have done this in the oven and in a crock pot. The meat comes out tender every time. I'm not a big fan of the flavor and the saltiness though. I only use 1/2 package of the onion soup mix to try and cup down on it.
