Pan Dulces

Reviewed: May 12, 2003
These were very good! I didn't use all 5 cups of flour, I probably used 4 1/2. I also had a hard time getting the topping to be "crumbly." But they still turned out to be very tasty. The only problem - the topping got soft and mushy after a few days, since we didn't eat them very quickly.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2003
These turned out to be really good pancakes. I would definitely chose these over boxed. I made sure to sift the dry ingredients together and they turned out very light and tasted wonderful. My husband (not a big pancake eater) even said he liked them! I will be making these again.

Swedish Nuts II

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
These are SO good! I made them for a progressive dinner (we were making appetizers) and everyone loved them. I ate the leftovers the next day (I ate way too many)! These were excellent for the holidays and I will probably make them again soon!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
This was the first recipe I made in a slow cooker and it was wonderful! I used frozen chicken breasts and they turned out very tender at the end. I left the biscuits in a little longer than called for (probably about 45 minutes) and they turned out fine. I used only 1/2 a package of biscuits and it was plenty. Just baked the rest! This was a very good recipe and I will definitely make it again!

Black Bean and Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
I made this for a potluck, doubled the recipe, added cucumber, used half the amount of green onions only 1 can of black beans and didn't have any corn. And it still turned out wonderful! It had a different taste to it, but everyone really liked it. I enjoyed the leftovers too!

Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
My cookies were not soft at all. I followed the recipe completely, so I'm not sure where I went wrong. But they turned out rather hard and kind of chewy. I won't be making these again...

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
I made these cookies for Christmas and everyone enjoyed them. I used a wet fork to make criss-cross marks on the cookies and flatten them a little. They turned out really well that way. Very good!

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2002
I just made this soup tonight and it is wonderful! I only used 1 package of cream cheese and it was still really rich. I also added roasted red peppers. I will definitely make this again!

This was an excellent chicken dish. I didn't have the mustard or celery seed and it still turned out wonderful. I will definitely make this again!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: May 30, 2001
This is a pretty quick dish for chicken. I didn't have any cajun seasoning, so made my own with ground red pepper and garlic powder. It still turned out wonderful! My husband enjoyed the spiciness of the dish (it was a little on the too spicy side for me).
