I love to bake. I just do it when I get bored! I started with cakes and muffins, then moved to breads and cookies. I was recently asked to make a cookie bouquet for my niece. Her theme was elephants. She asked if I could do rice crispies on a stick with the cookies too, I must have been feeling… MORE

About this Cook
I haven't been cooking or baking very long, but since I am a stay at home mom now, I find time for it. I find it calming to bake. I don't actually eat what I make....most of the time, but I do taste a bit to make sure that it's good!
My favorite things to cook
I love to try everything. But I love making cookies and baking cakes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have always made rolls! Sweet rolls, dinner rolls, rolls with icing, rolls in coconut milk. Love it!
My cooking triumphs
When I made my sisters wedding cake. It was my first one and I am so happy that she believed that I could!
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make a chocolate roll. And frying anything! I have a hard time, which in the long run is a good thing!

Plastic Chocolate
Loved how this turned out. If you add the corn syrup while the chocolate is still to hot, it will turn into a huge oily mess. Just let it sit and cool before kneading again, cause you need the oil to stay in. If it is to stiff, you can add more corn syrup. When it set, I had to knead a bit to get it plyable, but kneaded it with mm fondant and made chocolate fondant..... So, so good!!! Will use white chocolate next time and combine with mm fondant so I can use different colors. Need to try to make roses with this too!

Death By Chocolate III
Love this.....used chocolate cake instead of brownies. Makes it a bit less rich, but just as good!!!

Candied Almonds
Turned out great! Followed everything to a T, and it turned out faster than I thought. My husband doesn't really care for almonds, but he loved these! We are having an ice cream party for my daughters birthday and now I know what toppings I'll be making for it! Just make sure that you use a wooden spoon! LOLBut really, almost lost one of my plastic spoons.....sounds dumb, but I didn't even think of it til it happened!
