Pork Chops Stuffed with Smoked Gouda and Bacon

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This was very good. I used butterflied boneless pork chops and stuffed the mixture on one side, folded over and secured with 4 toothpicks each. The filling did not leak out at all. I used a smoked cheese and I think that is essential, but doesn't really matter what kind of smoked. Give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed.

Spinach and Orzo Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
This is so good. Even better the next day. You may need to add a little extra balsamic vinegar to it the next day, but great as a leftover.

Restaurant-Style Tequila Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
We really liked this recipe. I took the shortcut and used 1/2 Ranch dressing and 1/2 picante sauce and fresh cilantro. It was very good and much easier. The liquid smoke was very prevalent in the taste of the chicken and I would probably reduce that by 1/2 next time. I will definitely make this again.

Santa's Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
My family has really enjoyed this cookie. They are yummy, easy, and fun to make, but they do take some time after they come out of the oven to 'fill' so plan accordingly. I used a toothpick to swirl the white chocolate after it had melted a bit and because of the short cooking time, found that I had to completly finish each cookie sheet before I put the next in to bake. Be sure and add the half cherry on top, it adds lots of flavor to the cookie. Thanks for the recipe. It will be on my Christmas bake list every year from now on.

Oklahoma Cheese Grits

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2006
I am just 'discovering' grits and had them recently while on vacation. I came home and wanted to try this recipe. These grits came out wonderful. I scaled the recipe down to serve 6, only added 1 tsp of seasoning salt and left the regular salt out. I also added 1/2 tsp garlic powder and used 1/2 pound of american cheese slices as that is all I had on hand. They were so good. Thanks for this recipe. It will be made often!

Mom's Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2006
THis recipe was good but needs some additions. The sauce is too thick as it is and needs another can of tomatoes added. I also added a tsp of Italian seasoning and fresh basil and oregano. I cooked it in my electric skillet at about 350 degrees and found that I needed more oil to fry the chicken in. Overall, a good basic recipe just needs some tweaking.

Elvis Presley Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2006
This cake is wonderful. It would be perfect served at a bridal shower. I poked holes in the cake before pouring the pineapple on top. It makes the liquid absorb into the cake better. Thanks for this great cake recipe.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2003
I have made this recipe several times for family and friends and everyone loves it. I don't have red wine vingear, but use balsamic vinegar instead. I also use extra garlic, about 5 cloves. The more the better. I am going to try marinating chicken in this and I'm sure it will be wonderful. Thanks for the recipe.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2002
Oh my Gosh! These are wonderful and taste just like the real thing. I added 2 Tablespoons of flour to the brown sugar/cinnamon mix and baked on the 2nd lowest shelf in my oven for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Also made a double batch of icing. My whole family loved them! Thanks for the delicious recipe Marsha.
