About this Cook
I'm a happy mom to two sweet beautiful girls ages 4 & 6 yrs. old married to a wonderful ( a little crazy too) man, we just celebrated our 10th year anniversary :). I love to cook and I'm always changing some ingridients in a recipe in order to make them healthy for my family but I especially love to bake althou I always end up giving most of it away otherwise I will be as wide as my kitchen table :(. Last year I planted and herb garden, basil, thyme, chives, parsley and oregano and since I was succesful with that this year we are building a raised bed for my veggies(tomatoes, zucchini and egg plant) sooo looking forward to cooking with fresh herbs and veggies this summer.
My favorite things to cook
My mom's albondigas soup and red cheese enchiladas also enchiladas verdes by gema (recipe found on this web site)my hubby loves to grill jucy steaks, chicken and carne asada I absolutely love to grill vegetables (whith delicious recipes I've found on this web site)Italian and chinese food are among our favorites too,I recently started cooking Thai food and so far we've liked it. Salads, soups, chocolate cake, coffee cakes, muffins, cookies ....
My favorite family cooking traditions
Tamales during Christmas, pozole, menudo
My cooking tragedies
Too many to count, when my family doesn't eat what I cook

Baked Fake Steak with Gravy
Simply delicious!!! Why does an awesome recipe like this one has only four stars?! If I could I would give it 10 stars. I followed other reviewers suggestions and after browning the meat on the stove I added the rest of the ingridients along with some chopped fresh mushrooms and simmer it for 15 min and voila! ready to eat, it's 108 degrees outside and the last thing I want to do is turn on my oven for almost an hour to heat my small kitchen for the rest of the day.....
