Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2013
I really enjoyed the recipe, my boyfriend said it was the best meal I ever made lol. I followed instructions exactly, except used slightly less chicken broth as previous reviewers said it was a little too liquidy , and used fresh spinach, which i think also cut down on the liquid amount. I also used a TON of red pepper flakes, just cuz i like things spicy. Super easy, good and fast.

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
This was overall good. I felt like there was too much mayo in it though, in the future I would cut down on that amount. Maybe I would use some plain greek yogurt in its place. Others seemed to enjoy it a lot though.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2012
these did not hold for me at all, and I even added more breadcrumbs. I'm not sure what everyone else is doing but it definitely didn't work for me.

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2012
This was pretty good, it was my first attempt at spaghetti squash so I was not sure what to expect. I guess i was expecting softer "noodles" since everyone claimed this to be just like spaghetti, but they are hard (unless I did it wrong). The flavors were good though! I think next time i'll add sauteed spinach and mushrooms too.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
Holy moly- you are not lying! This is the best lasagna. I make the sauce ahead of time, and then make the lasagna on a later day- that way it doesn't seem to take so long. I wish JohnChandler would post more recipes :)

Ratatouille Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
I really enjoyed this meal. Followed directions exactly, except i forgot to buy the can of tomatoes, so I used 3 chopped tomatoes and added some vegetable broth for more liquid for the vegetables to boil. The one down side is it really is a lot of prep work- dicing all the vegetables

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2011
I thought this was really good. I used jalepeno cheddar tortillas instead of regular ones, because I hate the taste of plain tortillas and I think they look tastier with different colored tortillas. It did however seem to make way too much of the cream cheese mixture, but that's okay because i used it as a veggie dip for the next couple of days. I also omitted the cheese just to save on calories. Really good!

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
i was a little disappointed with this. The ingredients made me think it would be really good, but i actually found it a bit bland, and it did not hold together well. I think there was too much sour cream (could probably 1/2 that) and not enough spices.

Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2011
I thought this was great, followed recipe exactly except the only pork i could find was a 4 lb pork loin roast, and it tasted great! Cooked on slow for 10 hours, shredded it, put it back in for another 30 minutes or so. After i shredded it, i poured out probably 1/3 of the liquid though. GREAT!

Delicious and super easy. I only had 4 oz of feta, and it was still great.

Very simple and good, although I did add about a tablespoon of mustard to it too!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
The pork turned out very moist and tender, but, I could taste too much rootbeer. I guess that is to be expected by the ingredients, just don't be surprised that it is REALLY rootbeer-y

Beef and Bean Chimichangas

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
I thought this was good, but was expecting more. There was nothing to dislike, but wasn't the best Mexican i have ever made. They did not crisp as I would have liked them to. Maybe next time I will do as other reviewers and "fry" it on both sides first? Also, next time I would add maybe some pork green chili, or enchilada sauce at the very end of the cooking time.

Asian Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
Very good salad. I agree with other reviewers that you must use the sesame oil, but I think you could use less, as it is a very strong taste. Also, I ould just buy the La Choy noodles as opposed to making the rice noodles, to much work! Over all very good though.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
This stew was pretty good, however, the cooking time I think was too long. My meat ended up kind of falling apart, and some of it even burned a little bit! In general though, a really good stew

Wow, I really did not like this at all, especially for all the work and ingredients needed. I could taste way too much of the soup.

Chicken Enchiladas with Creamy Green Chile Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
This recipe was great, and really pretty simple! I only made a few minor changes. I added salsa and Jalepenos to the filling, and added garlic salt and cumin to the sauce. Also, I would probably not use as much oil to soften up the tortillas as suggested, I think it was way too much, probably half that would be plenty so the tortillas don't fall apart. Also, we didn't have a big enough pan really to fit all the enchiladas, so it was more like a casserole, but I think with a bigger pan they would have been a tad more crispy.
