But, it is cold. I know folks in other parts of the country are still without power. My heart goes out to them. I know how blessed I am that I can actually sit here and type a note and will uncover a garden full of beautiful cabbage and lettuce and collards in a few minutes.

I am looking for some cabbage and herb ideas. I also want to eat it light. I am not up for heavy sauces lately or a lot of meat combinations. I don't have anything against meat, I just want to lighten up for a few days. Any ideas out there?

The kids and I at school are going to make one of the fruit pizzas out of the recipe box. I am enjoying all the ideas folks have. I'll take some photos of our progress.

Lucky you! Your cabbages look beautiful. I'm eager for the growing season to start up here in the Pacific Northwest. My goal is to grow more edibles this year. Have fun with your garden!

my greatgrandmom would slice the cabbage up and add some sugar and vinegar and call it sweet and sour cabbage. now I slice it in soups sauces .. I use it alot of ways and its so good.. slice cooked cabbage up and make a grilled cheese and cabbage sandwich .. oh its yummy!
