YUM! I had leftover black beans so I made these last night--they're so easy to make and tasted great on a bun with lettuce, cheese, and mayo. I didn't have chili sauce so I threw in barbecue sauce instead. The burger mush was a bit loose at first so I just kept adding breadcrumbs. The rest are in the freezer and I hope to make more soon!
3/13/11 Made these again. drained the beans really well and dried them before mashing. Cut up 3 slices onion, 4 slices red pepper (frozen) and two large baby bella mushrooms into very small pieces, then dried with a paper towel. mashed up beans in hand food processor with chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, and taco seasoning. Added 2 ketchup packets. Mixed in egg, then veggies, then 2.5 capfulls of breadcrumbs (~ 1/2 cup). Made 6 patties.
