Mushroom Pork Chops

4 at BEST. I find this boring and something you do at the last moment, butwho has port in their freezer. I would marinate and tenderize the pork.

Garlic Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
I would use this recipe only to use it for something else, not as a main dish. It lacks in flavor. It isn't easy to penetrate the salmon with flavors. The flavors just sit on top or run under while in the oven. I believe it would be better on a pan, with butter and lots more lemons (lemon, butter + white wine reduction). To salvage my expensive piece of atlantic salmon, I topped a spring salad off with a lemon hinted vinaigrette and had it cold for lunch. It was much better than an entree.

Vietnamese Beef Pho

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
This is not pho. Don't be fooled into thinking this is pho. Pho is made from hours of cooking beef bones to soften the meat and draw out the bone marrow. What we have here is spiced swanson beef broth.

Broccoli Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
I dont like it. ITs boring. This recipe is useful for eating by yourself or a quick lunch that you'll defrost. I would not serve this or call it gourmet by any means. If I decide to make it again, It will be my "thrifty" food to tend to my hunger.

Chicken Breasts with Herb Basting Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
I used chicken legs with the bone. Breast w/ or w/out bone is known to be bland, no matter what. Added fresh parsley. I believe this dish would be best if all ingredients were fresh. Either case, it was great. I served with a side of parmesan asparagus. Believe it or not, the dish was much better as leftover. I also marinated the chicken overnight.

Shredded Potato Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
Needs a vegetable for sure. I would try spinach. I added onions as well, but be sure to finely mince the onions. I added the recipe amount of ham (good quality too), but it wasn't enough flavor. I would suggest adding bacon to it, for a crunch!. Also, I would recommend browning the hash brown before adding the remainder of the mix. I would probably do it to a medium-brown to add crunch in the crust, otherwise it will be the same texture as the mixture. Other than that, I needed more salt to enhance the flavor. Will retry with the adds to see how well this goes. Five star for a great base recipe!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
This was extremely TOO hearty. IT needs some vegetables. I recommend adding some spinach in the meet before putting into the oven. This will tone down the flavors. None the less, I will make again with adjustments. It is GREAT though. Better than using pre-made sauces. I would also recommend using fresh ingredients. The dry just doesn't cut it these days.
