Best Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2009
Without a doubt! The absolute best. I doubled the recipe and used a 13x9 pan. (glass) Don't skip the frosting, but it's easier to put on after the brownies cool for about 10 to 15 minutes, but when they're still warm. Added walnuts and didn't mix to long. (by hand)

End of the Line Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
The only problem was that there wasn't enough! Next time I'll double, perhaps triple and use larger dish of course. I used Cheddar instead of Parm, and added bread crumbs on top for the last 20 minutes of cooking.

Banana Cranberry Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
Not enough cranberries, I should have read the reviews. I substituted butter for the oil and turned out excellent but took a little longer to cook the top center of the loaf. So perhaps I don't have the conversion right but it tastes better then using the oil.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
Enjoyed this and it was easy to make. I doubled the sauce which worked out well. I also used 1/2 Dijon and 1/2 yellow mustard, which gave it a little zip. I also only used 1/2 paprika. A tasty dish and only 230 or so calories. We had it over white rice which went good with the sauce.

Death by Chocolate

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
I do love this although I'd do a few things differently. First I generally don't like the taste of the vegetable oil so I would use some other way. Secondly, I would double the pudding. I tried it with 3 layers, next time I'll do 2. Strawberries was a welcomed addition.

Lisa's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
Loved it! Read the reviews and used 2 cups of milk and added 8oz of sour cream. Also used bread crumbs on top. Needed a little salt and some pepper though. Awesome! AND only 1 lb of elbows!!! Not 2 as recipe calls for.

Chicken Crunch

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
Loved it! Cooked the chicken breasts on the stove with some butter and 2 cloves of garlic. Made sure to pour the leftover juices on the top of the chicken before adding the sour cream and cream of chicken mixture. Used probably 50 Ritz crackers and a smidge less butter on top. So good!

Easy Ground Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
Awesome...Loved it. Posted my picture of the finished product. I read some reviews and made the following changes: Used 1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup. Added sour cream at the end. It came out WAY too salty so next time I'll reduce the salt and reduce the boullion cubes to 4 instead of 6.

Blueberry Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
Just OK but, of course, we still ate them! They were just around a little longer. I made this and decided that I didn't like the oil flavor. Also all I had was skim milk so I'm sure that didn't help. The topping was not so crumbly, more like paste. Next time I won't use oil and I'll use the topping recipe from the Banana Crumb Muffin recipe which was MUCH more crumbly. I think it called for alot less butter for the topping. I'll try this again sometime with the changes noted.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
New to cooking but I was able to whip this up while my wife was taking a nap on a rainy Saturday afternoon. I surprised her with a hot banana crumb muffin when she awoke. They were VERY good and she was thrilled at the surprise. I just followed the directions and they turned out awesome! I've now made this several times and I've added some walnut bits and it seems to be a good addition.
