Grilled Corn in Husks

No need to peel back husks - soak for 15, then cook for 15 on high, flip it, cook for another 15...remove from the grill and let sit for 15. PERFECT every time. So easy and so good. The tassles just fall away when you remove the husks, easier than peeling them off when it is raw. And don't worry if it looks burned, it will steam perfectly inside the husks. Enjoy.

World's Best Bacon Cheese Dip

Wow. This was amazing. Used all low fat ingredients (except the bacon) and added garlic salt and chopped up artichoke hearts (about 1/2 can seemed to be enough). Whatever cheese you have on hand will work - this is SO good. Crack cheese dip is a perfect name!!

Merwin's Shrimp Gumbo

Thought it was good, only 4 stars because the original recipe didn't include the chicken. Per the reviews, I cut the chicken up and threw it in at the end with the sausage and shrimp. I rushed my roux and it wasn't as good as it should have been. Keep the heat LOW and give it the time it needs to brown. I turned it up too high and it tasted a little burnt. We still ate it, but it wasn't as good as it should have been.

Hot Chicken Wing Dip

Awesome. I use half blue cheese dressing and half ranch if I have both on hand. Usually don't add any grated cheese, it doesn't need it. Always a hit and never any leftovers!

Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini Deluxe

Used this to do something with leftovers. Had a ton of gravy left, so used that in place of the soup and topped with a thin layer of stuffing. Don't like green peppers, so used celery instead, but thats a personal thing. Excellent.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

I cut a pound of bacon into thirds and then dip the bacon in brown sugar BEFORE wrapping the weinie. I put any leftover brown sugar on top of the weinies. Don't forget to foil the pan or you might as well toss it when you are done!! SO good. I have never met anyone who didn't like these...

We love this recipe, but don't mess it up by 'mixing in' the BBQ. Put it on top of the sandwiches. We like Wee Willys White BBQ Sauce. SO GOOD!

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

My family really enjoyed these. Used Hot Garlic Chili Sauce in place of the ketchup for added flavor and Rice Wine Vinegar instead of lemon juice because it seemed to make more sense, didn't add any oil as it seemed unnecessary. We tripled the sauce for 6 chops, covered the pan and broiled at the last couple minutes as suggested. These were probably the most moist chops I have ever eaten. Unbelievably good.
