About this Cook

I love to cook, and I find it to be almost like meditation. My mother is an amazing cook (her Puerto Rican flair in the kitchen is mind-blowing), and I got the knack for it from her. I joined this site to find new ideas for food masterpieces.

My favorite things to cook

Pastellios, Breaded steak, Arroz con Gandules, Pernil, Steak with peppers/mushrooms/onions, chicken (fried, baked, anyway!), and so much more. I also love to experiment with making new and unusual sauces for pasta dishes.

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

DELICIOUS!!! I will use less vinegar next time - it was ALMOST overpowering the other flavors.

Red Skinned Potato Salad

DELICIOUS - everyone loved it. NEXT TIME, though, I will boil the potatoes for longer. They were still a little too firm after 15 minutes.

Shepherd's Pie VI

I thought this Shepherd's Pie was really good, delicious even - but I had a hard time mashing the potatoes myself without the necessary tools, so my hands were aching at the end and the top layer of the pie was lumpy. It took much longer than an hour to prepare and cook, too. Also, I seasoned the meat with some Adobo and Oregano. I will try it again in the future, though. :)
