I am a shift worker with a house full of people to feed. I am not very creative when it comes to cooking so look to All Recipes to inspire me to try new things. I am good at making modifications to suit what I have on hand. My husband is the real genius cook in our house.

My favorite family cooking traditions
My nana's applesauce meatballs and French Unbaked cake. My sisters and I adore these two recipes and we don't share them. Our mother would "kill" us!
My cooking triumphs
Learning to cook a turkey in my new convection oven with a meat probe.
It turned out as pretty as a magazine and it was delicious.
My cooking tragedies
I cooked Christmas dinner with my new convection oven and misread the temperature. I used the convection temperature on the regular setting. It took a VERY long time to get the turkey to cook through.
