Sweet Corn Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
Wonderful! I tried to make them a little healthier by using 1/2 butter 1/2 applesauce. They still tasted great! I made them as muffins and it made about 22. They were perfect! I will definitely make these again!

Banana Crumb Muffins

This is great banana bread. I am a bit of a health nut so I used whole wheat flour and apple sauce for the oil. Tasted fantastic! Topping was perfect!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
This was delicious! I loved the ranch/worchestershire flavor. I made it using yogurt instead of oil to make it more like a sauce than a marinade. I skewered it and broiled it for about 7 minutes on 550 and it was perfectly moist and tender! Wonderful recipe I will make again!

Chocolate Angel Food Cake II

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
Wow was I ever impressed by this recipe! I love angel food, but I thought putting chocolate in was going to take away from its goodness, but I decided to try it anyways.I am so glad I did! This was better than regular chocolate cake! I used all the indredients as stated, except I took my semi-sweet chocolate (all I had was chocolate chips) and but it in my coffee grinder. Then I ground it for about 15 seconds and viola! powdered. This makes is so when you take a bite of cake it is savory and almost melt in your mouth. There are no hard chunks, just wonderful, light, chocolatey goodness!

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
This makes a beautiful smooth fondant. I actually used to dough hook on my mixer and it worked great. I also used the hook to mix in food coloring to make different colored fondant. I thought it tasted like the marshmallows from lucky charms cereal! :)

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
This was fantastic. I, like many other people, was a little scared after adding the water. But the cake was great! I actually made cupcakes, and it made 24 overflowing cupcakes. They tasted so good. Rich and fluffy all at the same time. I frosted them with my favorite chocolate frosting recipe and everyone in my family loved them. Next time I want to pipe cream into the middle of them!

Cookie Salad II

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
My aunt has been making this exact recipe, without oranges, for as long as I can remember and it is always a hit, especially with the kids! Don't worry if the pudding seems really stiff, it will work out perfectly once you fold in the cool whip.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
I have made these 3 times in the last 2 weeks. They are amazing! I made them even more fudgy by melting the chocolate chips with the butter, fantastic! I also halved them and made them in a 9x9 pan, baked for 30 minutes. They are so easy and delicious. The 2nd and 3rd times, I made frosting. One time a chocolate glaze, the other a chocolate buttercream. Both were great. Today when I brought them I was told by several people that they were the best brownies they had ever eaten. Great compliment for great brownies! Update: So I have now made these brownies more times than I can count (in 3 months) and every time they have been fantastic. I was inspired by the zucchini brownie recipe on this sight (and the 2 dozen zucchini sitting in my kitchen) so substitute zucchini for the butter. They were fantastic! No one knew they had zucchini in them and they were super fudgey and rich. You just need to add about 5 minutes to the baking time and you will have fabulous, decadent, chocolatey zucchini brownies (and no one will know it's in there!)

Super-Simple, Super-Spicy Mongolian Beef

Reviewed: May 5, 2015
These recipe is fantastic! And it only took about 20 minutes to make! I didn't realize that you were supposed to marinate the meat, so we skipped that step and didn't notice. We used premium stew meat from hyvee and sliced it really thin. It was plenty tender. I also added in an onion, just for a little more veggie. Then served it over rice. Fantastic recipe, will make again! Would add a teaspoon or so cornstarch to the sauce mix to help it coat the meat!

Sun-Dried Tomato Hummus

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
Yum! I halved the oil and ground sesami seeds when blending everything else instead of buying expensive tahini. It was so delicious and a fraction of the cost of store bought hummus.

Butter Chickpea Curry

I really liked this simple curry recipe. I did as a few other reviewers had suggested and used plain yogurt and tomato sauce. Great recipe, I will try again using cauliflower.

Spicy Melted Cheese Dip

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
THis recipe is great! I usually use rotel tomatoes and green chilis, but I double it for some extra flavor! Also, if I'm feelingin lazy, I just skip frying the meat and throw in a can of hormel beanless chilie. It actually adds more flavor and the dip turns out just amazing, it is always a huge hit.

Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
Perfectly smooth and creamy! I used 2 cups of semi-sweet 1 cup milk chocolate (both nestle), so that it wouldn't be too dark. It is wonderful! I also only microwaved 2 minutes and added 1 t. of vanilla after heating.

Corn and Zucchini Melody

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
Great easy recipe! Perfect for a 'fresh from the garden' meal. I added garlic and salt, used frozen corn, and omitted the cheese. Fantastic. The first time I served it, I was asked for the recipe and we have eaten weekly at our house. Thank you for the simple, healthy, and delicious recipe!

Waffles I

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
Great basic recipe! I made it exactly as written and it made 14 beautiful waffles in my cuisin art waffle iron. There wasn't anything extra special about these waffles, but you could personalize them with a teaspoon of any extract, such as lemon or maple. Great basic recipe for waffles! Thanks!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Great oatmeal cookie with the perfect amount of spice! The only comment I want to make is about the quantity. The batch I made, made 45 scoop #40 cookies (about 2 1/2 inch diameter).
