Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
Perfectly smooth and creamy! I used 2 cups of semi-sweet 1 cup milk chocolate (both nestle), so that it wouldn't be too dark. It is wonderful! I also only microwaved 2 minutes and added 1 t. of vanilla after heating.

Black Bean Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
This was great, I cut back on the cumin (because it can really over power) and used marinara instead of tomato sauce. All in all I really liked it!

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
This toffee is excellent! Toffee is now my favorite christmas candy since I made this recipe! I halved it and it still turned out perfect (half made about a 9x13) Then I sprinkled with toasted and chopped pecans. Yum!

Barb's Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
This is delicious! I always add raisins and craisins too, and even use pecans instead of sunflower seeds. It is one of our favorites!

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
These are fantastic, simple, and yes, they really do taste like Red Lobster! Just make sure and remember to brush the garlic butter over the top once they are done, it really makes all the difference.

Whole Grain Waffles

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2010
Wonderful! The only things I did differently were substitute vanilla yogurt for the applesauce and the butter (it is just what I had on hand) and I beat the egg whites to soft beaks for fluffier waffles. You would never know they are healthy! They are wonderful and nutritious!

Pico de Gallo Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2010
So good! The only thing I like to do is spread guacamole on the tortilla before I put my other ingredients, the creaminess really adds that extra something, plus the flavor is outstanding.

Asparagus with Parmesan Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2010
This just didn't have enough flavor, if I made it again I would increase how much of everything I put on the asparagus. I wanted the parmesan to really shine and I didn't even know it was there.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2010
Excellent if you increase the 'sauce' by half. I didn't want to take the time to roast these, so I cubed them up nice and small and boiled them for about 10 minutes, then combined them in a nonstick pan with the rest of the ingredients and cooked just until the 'sauce' was thickened. yum!

Spicy Melted Cheese Dip

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
THis recipe is great! I usually use rotel tomatoes and green chilis, but I double it for some extra flavor! Also, if I'm feelingin lazy, I just skip frying the meat and throw in a can of hormel beanless chilie. It actually adds more flavor and the dip turns out just amazing, it is always a huge hit.

Feta Chicken

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
Recipe as stated would be boring and the feta flavor overpowering... but with alterations as other people have suggested to increase the flavor they were very good!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: May 8, 2010
Great oatmeal cookie with the perfect amount of spice! The only comment I want to make is about the quantity. The batch I made, made 45 scoop #40 cookies (about 2 1/2 inch diameter).

Mexican Chicken Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
As written, I did not find this recipe to be all that great. If you notice, almost everyone made changes to it! But it is a great list of ingredients! Also, the serving size is very off. There is no way that 8 people could eat the amount this recipe makes, it is probably more like 3.

Overnight Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
Delicious! The only change I would make next time is to increase the nutmeg just a little. The cinnamon in the topping tasted fantastic, but kind of masked the wonderful nutmeg flavor. The texture was perfect and it looked beautiful.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2010
I made this recipe almost exactly as stated. I didn't have pickled ginger so I used 1/4 t. dry ginger and I added minced red bell pepper, just because I like it. They were good, but lacked a little flavor. With a little extra garlic and onion powder they were really good. Also, the chile pepper sauce does wonders, just don't over do it! A tiny amount goes a long ways!!

Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
These burgers were very good! I didn't have the horseradish, but I am sure they would have been great with it. The only reason I didn't give these a five star because I think they would be excellent if you used real crushed bacon. The only time I could taste the bacon was when I got a large chunk of it, which tasted fantastic. So by making your own bacon bits, you wouldn't have so many tiny pieces and the true bacon flavor would be in every bite instead of dissappearing into the burger.

Chocolate Angel Food Cake II

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
Wow was I ever impressed by this recipe! I love angel food, but I thought putting chocolate in was going to take away from its goodness, but I decided to try it anyways.I am so glad I did! This was better than regular chocolate cake! I used all the indredients as stated, except I took my semi-sweet chocolate (all I had was chocolate chips) and but it in my coffee grinder. Then I ground it for about 15 seconds and viola! powdered. This makes is so when you take a bite of cake it is savory and almost melt in your mouth. There are no hard chunks, just wonderful, light, chocolatey goodness!

Cheesy Onion Focaccia

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
I used an extra ounce of water, but other than that the ingredients for this bread are right on! One thing I want to mention is that focaccia is not really supposed to be kneaded, so using the bread machine takes away from its true quality. Also, forget the butter and use olive oil, it is wonderful and is the way the Italians make it! :) It is super easy to make without the bread machine: Proof the yeast with the sugar and water Mix in dry ingredients until dough ball forms Set in dry place for 1 hour Punch down, place in well oiled pan for 30 minutes Bake 20-25 minutes, until golden
