About this Cook
I find cooking just one way to express my passion for God to other people. I love baking for bake sales, and to bring something stunning to potlucks. But I can't say it was me who did such a good job - it was God who gave me the gift. He is my all, and I owe to Him all I have to give.
My favorite things to cook
Smoothies = me I love their healthiness, and their colorful flavor. Strawberry-sponge cake roll-up is my favorite project. I also have a homemade french bread recipe that took some time to get right. I hope you enjoy it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Turkey and pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, and something cozy for Christmas. Bake sales in the spring has been a recent tradition, too.
My cooking triumphs
Cheesecake Brownies. Oh, they were so perfect! I also felt my french bread recipe turned out successful.
My cooking tragedies
First solo recipe ever, and I did the obvious error - salt instead of sugar! It was a batch cookies for a bake sale, but the buyer was very gracious, and didn't mind my error too much.

Whole Wheat Banana Nut Bread
Stellar!! But here's some tweaks to an otherwise moderately healthy/delicious quickbread: -- Use 3 eggs & 1+ banana for a more moist bread; -- 1.5 tsp vanilla & .5 tsp nutmeg for more flavor; -- Bake for 45 min & check if a knife comes out clean (mine were done before 55 min)

Lean Green Smoothie
WOW!!! This was much different than the usual fruit-sweet and hearty green drinks. It had a more delicate, bizarre touch to the flavors that I REALLY LIKED. Super healthy too, so definitely not a waste of time/ingredients. Great job Heidi!!!

Green Slime Smoothie
Awesome idea/recipe! Solution to weak blenders: add ~1cup dairy (milk/yogurt) or juice Also, throw in 1/2 cup oats for a great run-out-the-door breakfast drink (you will hardly taste it). Mwahaha, those kids will never know they drank some mighty healthy stuff :)
