About this Cook
I find cooking just one way to express my passion for God to other people. I love baking for bake sales, and to bring something stunning to potlucks. But I can't say it was me who did such a good job - it was God who gave me the gift. He is my all, and I owe to Him all I have to give.
My favorite things to cook
Smoothies = me I love their healthiness, and their colorful flavor. Strawberry-sponge cake roll-up is my favorite project. I also have a homemade french bread recipe that took some time to get right. I hope you enjoy it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Turkey and pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, and something cozy for Christmas. Bake sales in the spring has been a recent tradition, too.
My cooking triumphs
Cheesecake Brownies. Oh, they were so perfect! I also felt my french bread recipe turned out successful.
My cooking tragedies
First solo recipe ever, and I did the obvious error - salt instead of sugar! It was a batch cookies for a bake sale, but the buyer was very gracious, and didn't mind my error too much.

Sourdough Chocolate Cake
How do you make a cake recipe more moist? Add apple puree/sauce! So I pureed 1 green apple and used 1 1/4 c buttermilk, 1 cup shortening, and 3/4 c cocoa. Bake just until knifes comes out moderately clean. FABULOUS. WOA.

Adel's Red Wine Steak Marinade
Ditch the lemon juice for more Worcestershire sauce! Use olive oil instead of boring canola! And don't worry about coriander if you don't have any. Friends were complementing these fabulous steaks!

Pumpkin Popovers
the baking temp is too low and time too short! Bake at 450F for 20min, then at 350F for 20min. Happy baking!
