About this Cook
I love to bake anything, also good Mexican or Chinese foods. tonight I made chicken fried steaks for the first time. I had heard they were hard to make. The recipe I got off the Internet was a snap and turned out great. I'm a retired certified dietary manager and that is one of the items that I had never done from scratch because I had heard they had to be deep fried so I never tried to make them. I had a heart attack six years ago and didn't think that would be a good thing for me to eat and we didn't have deep fryers in any of the rehab centers I worked for so it was just something I had never tried. I came across a heart healthy recipe and decided to try it and it was great so you can always learn new way to fix old favorites
My favorite things to cook
As I said before I love to bake and from scratch so I have really enjoyed your web sight it has given me so many good recipes that I have tried and am still trying
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't have many of those as I was a bartender the first twenty five years I worked, and that meant I worked most all holidays, I just got tired of the bar life so I went back to school and learned to cook and then I took a class for dietary managers and found the love of my life making good food for the seniors I cooked for.
My cooking triumphs
Learning how to make a good chicken fried steak WOW!
My cooking tragedies
O theirs been a lot burnt pans and over done food but its been fun learning and it still amazes me.

Potato Pancakes II
I remember my mother making these and could never find the recipe so grateful for this recipe. Was so easy to make and they were just like I remembered. Thanks so much I am making them today, I made extra potatoes so I could make them. Thanks again
