Quinoa Chili

Wow, so good (we love quinoa), I omitted the zucc (didn't have one) and the meat and added a can of V8 as it was quite dry. Excellent flavour and left overs for lunches! We will make this at least once a month, thanks for the recipe.

Baked Chicken Wings

Mmmm, We all loved these...even the kids (2 & 4). I boiled the wings first to try and remove some of the fat from the skin and such and made the coating exactly as written. They were amazing, we'll be making these wings often!

Portuguese Custard Tarts - Pasteis de Nata

My husband is portuguese and we get pasteis de nata for almost every family dinner from a bakery downtown. I can assure you I will be making them instead and saving time and $. Thanks for the amazing recipe!

Sourdough Starter

Tried this recipe for the first time this week. I have San Fran Sourdough covered and rising right now. I can't wait to try it! OK - as for the starter it smelled super ready but after reading the reviews I don't expect super sourdough until the replacement flour and water in the original starter have fermented some more. I was told by a friend (who is a wonderful baker) that it could take several months to get really great sourdough flavour. We'll see... Thanks for the recipe!

Bread Machine Thin Crust Pizza Dough

So, so, so good. Much better than the recipe that came with my bread maker for pizza dough. I added some italian spices to the dough but other than that everything was the same. Love it, will make it again, there IS a crisp to the crust which some others said was missing. I also cranked the oven up to 500F for the last minute or two of baking to brown it a bit. Thanks for the recipe.

Baron's Blackberry Cobbler

Brought this to Mother's Day Dinner yesterday (b/c my mother loves blackberries). We used our frozen Bberries from last year and it turned out great. I thought it might be too sweet or too soggy with the frozen berries but I made it exactly to specs and loved it (kids loved it too). Started baking it while we were having dinner and it was nice and warm for dessert with some frozen yogurt. Mmmm, we will definately make this again, thanks Baron!

Mom's Buttermilk Pancakes

Awesome, have never made buttermilk pancakes before but had some bm in the fridge that I had to use up and these were great, my 4 year old ate 4 of them! We will definately make these again.

Mmmmm! As seen on Oprah's camping trip to Yosemite...Delicious, excellent for a hot night. Sugar syrup not needed, just add a bit of extra lime juice.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

San Francisco Sourdough Bread

Good bread! I used a new starter (6 days old) so the flavour was not super sour-doughy but still very good. I made one with onions and one without and the one with onions was much more flavourful. Will update if changes with an older or better starter. Thankds for the recipe.

Quiche

I used my own crust and made with what I had (bacon instead of ham, cheddar instead of swiss and added green onion and red pepper) and it was really great. I have made it several times with whatever is in the fridge, broccoli, peppers, cauliflower, different cheeses and it turns out every time. Thanks for the recipe.

Great recipe, though after tasting the recipe (exactly to specs) I had to add more spices as my huband and I felt it was somewhat lacking in flavour for our taste. Overall, very good, will make again.
