Graham Cracker Crust II

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
Very yummy. I used 4 WHOLE rectangle sheets per 1/4 cup of butter. It tasted great and held together; however, if you're using it for a cheesecake or other recipe involving baking, don't bake it beforehand.

Awesomely Easy Sesame Asparagus

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
These are simple and very good. Not too special, but a nice change from plain asparagus.

Eggs Benedict with Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
I liked this VERY much, but keep in mind that it isn't going to give you that full cream flavor. Although in my opinion it was VERY satisfying and the salmon was DELICIOSO! I used blackened salmon and it was great, but smoked would probably be best. Forgot the parsley & capers (oops) but was good anyway.

Pumpkin Oatmeal

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
This was delicious. I would definitely garnish with pecans and sweeten with pure maple syrup. I didn't try those because I was out of both, but they would definitely go with the taste. This is amazing; but I hope you like pumpkin.

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
Okay, so I made these with green peppers. I don't know if that makes too much of a difference, but anyway, they were pretty good. One person thought they were okay, the other really liked them. I liked them a lot, but might try a couple other recipes before deciding which stuffed pepper is my favorite.

Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
These are so good! What a great way to use up leftover pumpkin from the holidays. I reduced the sugar to 2 T., but only because the pure maple syrup covers up any blanness. If you're worried about it being sweet enough or not, go ahead and use what it calls for.

Beaker's Vegetable Barley Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
This was so good, BUT, two days down the road and the leftover barley in the soup will blow up, become gross, and be very nasty.

Autumn Harvest Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
Delicious little cookie gems! Cooking them for exactly 10 minutes was perfect for me, or even a bit longer. These are a great way to use up dried cranberries without a sugar overload. They're so yummy with a small glass of milk!

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
It was good but not anything special. I Although I replaced the ground turkey with beef. Maybe that was why. I wanted to do the turkey but nobody in our house likes the smell (or taste) of ground turkey. Oh well, I'd try it if I were you though with the turkey. If you want beef instead, go with another recipe probably.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
Aaaaamazing! Although I highly recommend making your own crust. Maybe it's our oven, but whenever we use the store bought ones, the crust always burns and the inside is not done. Homemade crusts taste better and if you pick a butter instead of shortening recipe, it can be good for you too! Here's my favorite pie crust recipe: 1 cup whole wheat flour 1 cup white flour 1 stick butter 1/4 cup canola oil 1/4 cup water 1/2 tsp. salt Cute butter and oil into flour. When it comes to pea sized balls, add water and salt. Roll out with rolling pin. Makes upper and bottom crust. (Notes: It makes about 1 and a half crusts for me, and if you're picky about whole wheat, you can use all white.)

Low Carb Cauliflower Leek Soup

I made this several months ago, but I remember it was okay. I didn't use cream though. It might be good with it. Sorry if this doesn't help much.

Blueberry Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
These are amazing! I was so surprised how the blueberries and pumpkin went together so wonderfully. I even got a picky four-year old to try this. These are best hot out of the oven.

Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I made these with blackberries and the taste was worth four stars. It tasted good raw! However, I am giving it three stars because they stuck like crazy, even when the pan was doused in spray. They also cooked on the outside when I had it on med.-high, but were goey on the inside. Keep the heat on low-med. unless you feel you can kick it up a bit. They taste wonderful, but something needs to be done so they don't stick.

Makeover Fruit Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
Although it's taste is a four star, the crust would probably be lower. Not because of taste, but how crumbly it is. It didn't want to stick together, but it was good. I didn't use the glaze and it still tasted good.
