Halloween Eye of Newt

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
Totally, totally adorable! I did modify the recipe a little, but not a lot. I added some horseradish because I like my deviled eggs with a little kick. These definitely needed some "bloodshot" though, so I did the toothpick dipped in red food coloring.

Quick and Easy Pancit

Judging from all of the rave reviews, I probably just didn't do this right. I'm extremely new to anything but Italian, American, and some Mexican cooking!

Extremely tasty!! I followed the other reviewers' suggestions to flour the chops before the egg wash.

Summer Pasta D'lite

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2010
This recipe is just WEIRD. I found that it tasted best warmed up with a little salt, garlic pepper, and pecorino romano cheese (but really, that makes EVERYTHING better. :) ), though it's still not awesome.

Vegetarian White Bean 'Alfredo' with Linguine

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
This recipe is really good, but the calories posted are WAY off. I scaled the butter back by half and used fat free evaporated milk (comes in 12 oz cans, so it's perfect!) instead of the soy, but the calories I got in my calorie tracker (myfitnesspal.com, looooove it) said 427, only 14 calories different than the 441 listed.

White Bean Breakfast

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2010
oh sweet jesus, this was amazing!!!! i did make a few little changes based on my pantry and tastes: a dash of cayenne pepper instead of the jalapeno, and thyme instead of turmeric. ABSOLUTELY amazing!!!! definitely going to make this again! also great to make the beans ahead of time (like the night before) so all you have to make in the morning is the eggs and toast. My favorite breakfast!

Southwestern Pork Medallions with Cinnamon Couscous and Peach Chutney

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
Absolutely amazingly delicious! I'm not a fan of the ridiculously spicy, so I left out the jalapeno from the chutney and just added a dash of cayenne instead, and it was actually perfect to balance the spice of the meat.

Pasta with Kielbasa and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
I thought this was quite good! I don't think there is too much pasta for sure. I added asparagus and it made the dish look so festive and colorful!

PHILLY Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
quite delicious, but a little oily. perhaps i could have done without the extra butter, as my marinated artichokes seem to have been oily enough. on second thought, now that i've revisited this recipe and forgot about the oiliness, i DEFINITELY didn't need the extra butter. VERY oily.

Strawberries Flambeed in Vodka with Hot Ice Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
I found it very difficult to get the vodka to light. I recommend using a skillet and removing it from the heat before add the vodka or it's liable to boil off before you get to light it!
