Apple Breakfast Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
Soooo yummy! i really liked this bread it was nice and moist and crumbly with a chewy/crunchy crust! made the house smell wonderful too. I added about 2 tblsp of oil and did 1/2 brown sugar 1/2 white and i also grated the granny smith apples to get a more overall apple taste rather than just chunks. I also removed the bread immediately from the pan. if i had left it in it would've burned. would definitely make again and would recommend!

B's Cordon Bleu Bundles

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
SOOO good! my mom and I really don't like chicken cordon bleu but this sounded so good i just had to try it. everything blends very well and nothing stick out. however i did make one change that i feel was necessary. I sauted the chicken with some butter, olive oil, garlic, italian seasonings, and salt and pepper. It definitely made the dish to have that flavor added. This was seriously one of those dishes that you bite into and freak out about how good it tastes! PERFECT! (also i didn't use the sauce but the chicken itself was already very juicy so it didn't matter.)

Fresh Fruit Ice Cream in a Baggie

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
This recipe was so fun to make with my 4 year old niece! the ice cream wasn't bad either! it was however very hard to squeeze the ice cream out of the bag without hurting my hands too much because it was SO cold! that was the only downside to this recipe. Also after shaking for 5 minutes i put the ice cream in the freezer for about an hour or so and the ice cream still melted very fast, but tasted amazing!

Michelle's Peanut Butter Marbled Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
I didn't like these at all surprisingly... they had a very pretty outcome but the taste just wasn't for me. there was something weird with how the peanut butter and chocolate coincided.

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
Very very good! I really like the taste of this bread and it keeps very well! mine didn't make 3 loaves however, it only made 2 loaves for 9X5 inch pans. very simple to make too, it's not a hassle to make at all! perfect for weekly sandwich bread! thanks! also, i like a very wheaty bread. So instead of using 5 cups of bread flour at the beginning, i used 2 1/2 cups bread flour and 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour. And it was just as amazing as it would've been by just working in the whole wheat flour. also, more healthy for you too!

Very Berry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
made a few modifications. I used half whole wheat flour (just estimated the 1/3 cup) did 1/2 cup of brown sugar instead of 1/4. used a scarce tablespoon for baking powder (don't like the taste that much) increased cinnamon to about 1 tsp. added a splash of vanilla. and substituted 2 tbs of butter for oil. also i used 1 1/4 cup of raspberries and 3/4 cup blueberries. they were frozen. so i rinsed them and patted with paper towels. DELICIOUS! like really i'm in love with these things. will make again!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2010
Very easy and delicious recipe! We've been using the same Banana Bread Recipe for years and years and everyone thought this was better! Mine turned out way darker than most of the pictures but i was constantly distracted while making them so i'm sure i did something to cause this. Still thought they were very good! even 3 days later they were almost better!

Chicken Alfredo Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
VERY GOOD! I made this on a whim because i thought it sounded good. The White sauce was REALLY good. I used Parmesan cheese instead of Romano since i had none and it still turned out great! Everything was very simple. I also added some fresh spinach from the garden because i thought it would add color and i always add spinach to my alfredo. The dough does rise a lot in the oven so it's better to spread it thinner than you would like to so that the end result is perfect! Very yummy recipe- will make again! (also i just cut up a chicken breast into chunks and sauted it in olive oil with all of the seasonings since i didn't have a roasted chicken and it still turned out Delicious!)

VERY good chicken. I served it with some noodles in a garlic cream sauce. Chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. mom said it was probably the best i'd ever made!

I made this for a small potluck party tonight and everybody LOVED IT!!! and were asking for seconds. Changes for next time? : Double the cream cheese topping because my crust turned out super thick and i didn't think it had enough cream cheese topping. other than that.... PERFECT!

Vanilla Glaze

I really can't believe this came from an actual magazine or book because it's not really a recipe it's just frosting without the butter. I thought it was WAY too sugary. but other than that it was easy to make!

Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
SO good! I made this exactly as it said however i refrigerated it overnight due to time schedules. still turned out great! I coated in vanilla and chocolate almond bark covering and put coconut (which i ground through the food processor) on the white ones and finely chopped pecans on the brown ones. VERY RICH. you eat one and you're done but they taste great! (i dipped them twice using toothpicks to hold the refrigerated inside and set on wax paper.) also i only used 2 cups confectioners sugar and chocolate chips. made a very creamy truffle like inside more would've been too much!

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

I used a recipe very similar to this one from a Land O Lakes Cookbook. It was pretty much the same with just some different proportions and water instead of milk in the glaze. It was a hit! Everybody loved these and they stayed soft for days! will definitely make again!

Cinnamon Raisin Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
this was pretty good! it does NOT take 45 minutes to bake however... i freaked out when i turned on the light to check on it after about 25 minutes and it was practically burned! the bread has a heavy lead texture and the cinnamon swirl is a bit too biting cinnamon for me.

Pumpkin Waffles with Apple Cider Syrup

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
This was pretty good. it could have used more pumpkin and I don't even like pumpkin that much. I used a cinnamon syrup instead. it wasn't crispy but it was soft and i liked the consistency. I might try to make again and add more pumpkin.
