Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2013
Worked great. Just make it as thick or as runny as you like. We added some lemon juice for extra flavor.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2013
I've made this dough several times. And we love it. My kids will not touch any other pizza then our homemade. I love pizza with thin crust just the way its made in Europe and this is it. It makes nice 3 medium size pizzas. For best results we always bake the crust for about 5 minutes on a hot pizza stone (poke some holes in the crust to prevent bubbling) then we ad the toppings and bake some more until the crust is done. Thank you for great and easy recipe!!!

Jesse's Ginger Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
Really good. I used honey, fresh ginger and Miracle Whip. I would like to try with yogurt instead of mayo and adding a bit of sesame oil next time. Very addicting!!! THANK YOU!

Plum Blueberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2012
The cake was nice and light. I used butter instead of margarine and added a bit of lemon zest to the batter for extra flavor. I did find it too sweet (it burned in my throat). Will make again but definitively cut down on the sugar next time and take advantage of the sweetness from the fruit itself.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
This is a great recipe. I used craisins. I did flattened the cookies a bit as some suggested. And if you make sure your butter is room temperature and NOT melted when mixing up then the cookies should not spread. Thank you. It's a KEEPER!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
This was yummy. Skipped the flour and also used some chicken breast that was cut thinner instead of pounding it. I think I will double the sauce next time or watch before it gets reduced too much. Served it with pasta but will try the potatoes next time. It's a keeper!!! Thank you!

Classic Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
I made these couple of times and I think they are great. Moist and fresh even days after you make them. I even tried them with apple sauce instead of oil and still delicious. Thank you.

Low-Fat Blueberry Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
Ok, I followed the recipe and no matter how long I baked them they were raw in the middle. I tasted the outside and that was also bland. This was a complete waste of ingrediences. One star is only because I made them with my daugther and we like to bake together.

Oma's Cottage Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
I used some suggestions and left the milk out, sub the sugar for 1/3C of honey, and I probably triple the lemon juice and no vanilla since I did not have any on hand. Used the blender and did not have any lump issues at all. I used a store bought graham crust. I really like it. Served with blueberry syrup and blueberries, yummy. Great way to get some healthier cheescake and use that cottage cheese in the back of your fridge.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
These were great. I did not add the almond extract or the glaze and followed a suggestion to use cold butter. It was a bit harder to mix at first but they did not go flat and jam stayed in the middle. And I made them with two toddlers helping me to shape the little balls and they turned out great. Keeper!

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
First cobbler I've ever made. I did increased the fruit cause I had ton of peaches at home but forgot to decrease the sugar amount as others recommended. It would probably deserve 5* then but without these adjustments it was too sweet and chewy with the caramelized sugar. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU USE MORE PEACHES AND LESS SUGAR!!!

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding

Okay, I have been making Yorkshires for years so I think I know what to do and I like to try new recipes once in a while. They did rise up beautifully, but that was the end for me. Too eggy, too dense. I've had better.

French Toast Stars

Awesome! The orange zest and splash of vanilla did it for me. I used homo milk and think the cream would make it even better. Next time I will plan ahead and leave my bread slices to dry out overnight.
