About this Cook
I am a busy mom. I have a family of just 3. I want to make healthy balanced meals for my family but get cought up in the hussle of day to day life. I believe that I am not a failure so long as I keep trying. I find resources somewhat overwhelming and have been at this site many times. I hope to be able to utilize it more going forward.
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, Banana bread, easy-fast-good-healthy anything..... I do enjoy cooking most things, it's the clean up that I do not like so much. I guess that I do like to stay with things that do not take days to make either.
My favorite family cooking traditions
There are none that I can think of that we have. I would like to get some though. Suggestions?
My cooking triumphs
I am sure I have some, I would have to think back. Keeping it so simple not many to note for sometime.
My cooking tragedies
I had this one time a dessert turn out horrible looking. It was light green and too soft. I think it was a cool whip type dish. It was a new recipe and I was going to a pot-luck sowithout time to do anything else I took it anyway. Turned out to be a hit. I was amazed that anyone tried it, let alone liked it. My husband and son worked on a fancy dessert for a dessert auction. It was complex and a mess. We tried 2 times and it cost us like $40 + for the ingredients. It tasted pretty good but did not look pretty. Only brought it like $10 at auction. That was a bummer situation.

Crab and Pineapple Pizza
We liked this pizza and we'll make again. Was also great as leftovers, not a piece went to waste. We used imatation crab since that is tastier to us and I buy on sale and freeze. (I just recommend squeezing the water out after thawing for this pizza) I made 1/2 the receipe and that would be great for 4 people with a side. I think the cream cheese is the right amount since there is not other cheese on it. (and i would not recommned adding other cheese since that would change the pizza too much and with the ingrediants not blend right) I would use the amount listed for the cream cheese and be sure to cut into little pieces so each bite is sure to have some cheese.
