About this Cook
Food is a big thing in our family, truthfully I should weigh twelve tons as a result of my love affair with food. Naturally I enjoy sharing what I love. My favorite pastime is finding new recipes to try out on my friends and family.
My favorite things to cook
I really dont have a favorite thing to cook but do have many favorite things to eat. :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Friday nights are the best nights of any week as far as I'm concerned. The work week is done and I get together with my friends and family for games, and fun not to mention a really awesome dinner.
My cooking triumphs
There is no one meal that really sticks out as a triumph. For me every good meal shared with loved ones is a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
When I was about ten or so I made my family dinner for the first time. That is a meal that will live on in infamy for all time. It was octo-dogs and shells. It had hot dogs cut to look like octopus on top of cheesy shells with veggies. Everything was undercooked. I do believe the hot dogs were still icy as well as the frozen vegetables. The pasta was crunchy, oh god it was terrible! And my sweet sweet family ate it all. They even asked for seconds.

Dijon-Tarragon Cream Chicken
Wonderful! I cooked it for my family and it was a big hit. I added more garlic, some onions and some sun dried tomatoes just for some extra flavor. It was amazing!

Chicken Florentine Casserole
It was pretty good I think it needs a little bit more texture, next time I think I'll add some rice.
