I tried this recipe for the first time and it was delicious. The only thing that I changed was I omitted the tomatoe juice due to the fact I was cooking it in a 6 quart crock pot and it was already filled to the brim.. As a results this came out like more of a bean stew, which was just perfect with a loaf of bread. My husband, mother and I enjoyed it and I will make this one again. I also gave a portion to a friend who called me and said it was delicious. A keeper
