Plum Clafouti

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2012
This is a wonderful custard dessert. Topped with a little whip cream (to help cut the tartness of plums). The kids didn't like it but hubby and I ate the whole thing. Yummy cold or hot!!

Purple Plum Pie

This recipe was yummy. However, I made a few changes. Eliminate the crust and added oatmeal to the topping. SOOOOOOOO YUMMY!

Plum Jam

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2012
Yummy, Yummy, Yummy. I recommend 1 1/2 packages pectin for more of a jam thickness. The recipe made almost 6 jars....not 8.

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
It's good but not a kid recipe. None of my kids ate it and hubby just said it was "okay". Think we will save the salsa for chips.

Simple Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
This was a great recipe for a lazy person who has never made Lasagne. My daughter (7) had a fabulous time making it. I did add Italian Seasoning mix instead of parsley....liked the flavor a little better. Also, I used a random sauce not the same one. It turned out perfect!

Avocado Smoothie

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
Leave the yogurt out...it makes it taste like yogurt. Tried other reviewers suggestions...banana, makes it taste like banana....sweetend condensed, taste like sweetend condensed. Keep it simple for that true creamy avacado taste.

Easy Beignets

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
My neighbors, hubby and kids all loved this recipe. My first batch (20) rose beautifully in the fridge. However, I rolled it out too thin so there was a crispy outside with nothing in the middle. I used the left over dough for cinnamon rolls (10 -fabulous) and another batch of beignets (40). The left overs don't rise as well after being in the freezer but rolling them out a little thicker sure helped the insides. Not as good as the Disneyland beignets we had last week...but fabulous!!

Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
I hate tuna caserole. My hubby made this while I was at scouts with printed instructions and a few reviews. It turned out fabulous...I had seconds. The kids enjoyed it also. The tuna smell/taste wasn't as noticable as in other casseroles. Adding this to our menu!!

Funnel Cakes IV

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
The batter was to thick/thin for a funnel. It was easier just to pour straight from the bowl.

Dinner in a Pumpkin III

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
I was in a hurry when making this recipe so I grabbed left over peas from the fridge, mini raw carrots and the costco steak seasoning for the meat. It took me 15 minutes to put it together and I crossed my fingers. It turned out fabulous!!

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
Love this recipe. However, i frequently make it on the cheap...leave out the bacon, use boullion, kale (no spinach), and milk (no cream). Of course the potato, garlic and onion come from the garden.....YUMMY!!!!

Indonesian Satay

Kids loved it!! Hubby liked the chicken but said the peanut sauce was too sweet. I subbed catsup for the tomato sauce and cut sugar in half. Yummy!

Easy Grilled Tri Tip

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
Every time I make this, I get rave reviews. If I forget to marinate the night before I put it in a food saver bag for at least an hour. Just remember to sear the meat and cook low and slow on the grill. The internal temperature is important if you care about how rare the meat is. YUMMY!!!

The crust tasted like "packaged baking mix". Which is what it should taste like however, this wasn't a favorite.

Best Bruschetta Ever

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
Yummy, however I think it would be better with roasted garlic, fresh basil and a little balsamic. But this recipe is great during the winter when you have that craving and no fresh veggies!!

Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
Everyone but the kids loved it. I did take another reviewers suggestion and I mixed the rice in with the sauce. Put half in the pan then layered all the chicken, half the cheese then put the rest of the rice mixture on top with the rest of the cheese.
