It wasnt gooey sweet instead it was clumpy. The clove was very strong so I wouldn't add 1/4 tsp. I don't I'll make this again. I was able to eat it but I didn't love it.

Teriyaki and Pineapple Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
This was okay. Nothing really special. I'm asian and making stir fry meals is a normal thing. This one didn't stand out to me compared to the many other recipes I have in my book. I used corn starch instead of flour. I love vegetable in my stir fry so I added many other veggies to the dish. I will make this again if I'm in the mood for something sweet.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

It was too sweet for me so next time I won't add the sugar because the bbq sauce is sweet enough. Overall it was good. I would make this again

Great recipe! Next time I will add more lime and marinate alot longer. I baked it at 350 for about 45 mins. I added onions, mushrooms and I love spicy food so I also added 1 tsp of cayenne.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2011
I cut everything in half because I only cook for myself. I mixed everything and let it sit in the fridge for about 2-3hrs. This recipe has potential but like what most people mentioned it does need more of a kick. Next time I will double the sauce and let it sit overnight even. This is a very healthy recipe but needs more flavor.

I enjoyed the dish. Because the sauce was thick I added chicken broth. I also added onions and carrots.

Oregano-Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
I used the same exact type of ingredients but I had to either double or triple some of them because the dish needed more flavor. I let it marinate for 5 hours and baked it at 350 degrees. Overall the flavors were great I enjoyed the sweet and tangy. I will make this again.

Herb and Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
Reading from other reviews I was worried that it wouldn't have enough flavor so I added extra with salt. I enjoyed the spices but my only complaint is the oil. It was way too oily for me so next time when I make this I will not use 1/4 cup of oil.

Slow Cooker Latin Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2011
I really like this dish. I double the seasoning and liquid. I also added salt and onion. The salsa I used was spicy so that was great to the dish. You have to add lime/lemon to the dish bc at first I also thought that this dish wasn't that awesome but once I added the lime everything just came together and it was great. I will be making the dish again and again.

Spam on the Go

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2011
This was very easy to make. I added extra soy sauce, onion and garlic. I also reduced the amount of water. This meal was okay. Not my favorite and I wouldn't make it all the time. When I'm low on food and on a budget then I'll put this recipe out of the box.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
I LOVE THIS DISH!!!!! I made a smaller batch and added too much sugar but besides that everything about it was GREAT!! The chips gave it that kick of spice. I also added fresh lemon juice which gave it that tangy bc it can get too sweet with all the fruits and added sugar. I will keep this recipe forever!!!

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
I did not like this dish at all. After reading all the reviews I was expecting it to be really spicy and full of flavor but WRONG! I love spicy food and this was no where near of being spicy. It was very soupy so I took the advice from one of the post and added 1 cup of rice. I should have added the most 1/2 cup because the dish ended up not to my liking.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
I love the idea of this meal, very easy but even though I added extra spices it wasn't enough: thyme, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne, paprika . I shouldve have let it sit over night. I have a new slow cooker so I have to be careful how long I cook my meals so instead of 8 hours it was done in 5 hours. I didn't use foil but vegetables instead. One thing I didn't enjoy was how the skin was so soggy. Next time I would put it in the oven before serving. Overall this dish was okay.

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
After reading some of the comments I adjusted a few things to avoid things being too salty and tasting too much like vinegar. I added 1/2 cup of soy sauce, 1/4 cup of vinegar, 1 tsp of sugar, 2 bay leaves, 1/2 tsp of black pepper and 1 cup of chicken broth and kept the garlic the same. I also added onion and carrots. I know adobo is suppose to be tangy but it was too tangy for me so I added the sugar. I kept it on low for 6 hours and it was ready to serve. It was okay, not my favorite but not bad.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
This was my first time making pot roast and even eating a pot roast meal. I really didn't know what to expect but with the great reviews I just had to make it. Instead of water I used beef broth. I seasoned the meat with sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder and thyme. Then I seared it before placing it into the crock pot. I had it on low for a two hrs then high for an hour and for the remaining of the time I had it on low. I also added potatoes, carrots, celery and onions. Honestly the meal was okay. It was still missing something. I probably won't make this again. The meat is a bit tough maybe I shouldn't have changed the temp and kept it on one temp. I'm not sure if I'll make this recipe again.

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
I also added red pepper flakes and fresh jalapenos for that extra kick and it was delicious. I used my croc pot and had it on high for 3 hours and then let it simmer on low for another 1 hour. I added an extra can of kidney beans which I didn't mash. I'm adding this dish to my recipe book.
