Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

I had a recipe for years that I loved; it had creamed corn and buttermilk, and was cooked in an iron skillet- great stuff. One day I didn't have enough ingredients in the house to make my ole standby, so I came to allrecipes in search of a palatable substitute and found this one. OMG! This is the best cornbread I've had in years- it will replace my old recipe. I've already shared this recipe with others, and have made it several times. It's easy, sweet, moist, and delicious! If you like a sweet cornbread, this is for you!

Chocolate Syrup

1st let me say that I absolutely LOVE chocolate, and typically stay away from chocolate syrup because it just lacks true chocolate flavor. BUT I needed some for a recipe, found this one and whipped it up in about 20 mins (cooked longer to get it thicker)- this stuff is AWESOME! The flavor is great because I was able to use high quality cocoa, double strength vanilla, and pure cane sugar. I will definitely be making this again! This is not the syrup you buy in the store, it's much much better!

Baked Beans, Texas Ranger

I've never made baked beans before, but I've always loved them sweet, spicy, and flavorful. I tried this recipe for a barbeque, and doubled most of the ingredients. I was sure I had made too much, but they disappeared so quick! These were the best baked beans I've had, and I will be making them from now on!

Grandma's Gingersnap Cookies

I have been making this recipe for a couple of years now and find it to be the best recipe ever. I prefer to use the shortening instead of the butter option since it allows them to keep their shape better. Also, I do use the dark molasses and dark brown sugar. I think the lighter color comes from the mixing process. Very nice!

Cajun Appetizer Meatballs

I've made these meatballs for potlucks at work and for family gatherings. Everyone absolutely loves them! They can't believe that they are homemade. They give a wonderful twist to your traditional meatball. These are truly delish!

Hawaiian Chicken Salad

I absolutely love this recipe!! The cream cheese adds a flavor that melds perfectly with the Miracle Whip tang! I like to use walnuts instead of almonds, and I use fresh grilled chicken breast in place of the canned, and it is soo good. I eat it until I pop!!

Cantonese Dinner

This was very easy and very tasty! I felt it needed a little more kick so next time I may tweak the recipe a bit. I added fresh carrots and fresh green peppers at the end of cooking and served it at a pot luck. I also added extra sauce... Everyone just loved it!! Everyone wanted the recipe!!

Easy Key Lime Pie I

I used to buy those pies by Mrs. Smiths that cost eight dollars a pop, but this recipe changed all of that! This pie was not only easy, and fast, but with whipped cream, it was VERY tasty!! I would recommend it to anyone who likes GOOD Key Lime Pie!
