Mom's Paprika Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
This is a comfort food recipe. To me it was bland with the suggested seasonings. I ended up adding chicken broth, a little white wine, and extra of the spices to give it more flavor. Thank goodness I tasted it and tweaked it before serving!

Herb Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
What a simple recipe that tastes great. My hubby loves these biscuits! I've made them quite a few times now and sometimes add a little garlic powder to seasonings. I also sprinkle with fresh grated parm cheese or cheddar. Delish!

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
I've made this several times now because it is often requested by my husband for dinner. I use boneless skinless chicken tighs and lite soy sauce. I dump all the ingredients into a zip lock bag and coat chicken. I don't even mess with basting. It turns out nice and moist every time.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Dessert

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
This is awesome! The first time I made this I made it exactly like the recipe. The only change I have made in the past few batches of this is to half the amount of butter. The recipe calls for so much that it pooled on sides of the dish. Cutting it in half not only makes it just a little bit healthier, but it actually tastes better too! Be sure to spray the bottom of the pan well so it comes out nicely.

Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
I loved this! I added extra cheddar and a little cinnamon and brown sugar as other reviewers suggested. Instead of pounding chicken I just fileted it, stuffed it and baked in the oven. It tasted like Thanksgiving dinner!

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
I used brown sugar instead of the corn syrup and omitted the cloves. It was great! My husband is a picky eater and normally doesn't like anything new... he loved this. Def a keeper for the holiday ham!

Beef Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
This was simple enough to make, however it was bland and took a lot of seasoning to try to add flavor. Also, noodles almost need to be kept separate and just pour soup over because even though I added mine close to end they still fell apart after a while. Don't think I'll be making again.

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
I made the receipe exactly as written (doubled it) and didn't have a problem with it being runny or anything. I def liked the eggs. They taste just like what my mom always made!

This was a big hit at our Labor Day party. Followed receipe exactly and used fresh, real parm cheese. Nothing was left! Really quick and easy to make!

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
TASTY!! Read other reviews and made with real butter, used 1 cup of confectioners' sugar, and 3 tablesppons of brown sugar. Rolled in extra mini chocolate chips instead of nuts. Big hit at our Labor Day party! Days later it is still being talked about!

Beefy Chinese Dumplings

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2009
Takes a while to make the dumplings, but they are def worth the time and effort! I made a few "test" dumplings exactly as the receipe states with the exception I used sesame oil instead of vegetable oil and green oinions instead of regular onion. The dumplings were a little too bland for my taste so I added some garlic powder and a couple tablespoons of oyster sauce. My picky-eating husband LOVED them! I took the rest to a pot luck lunch at work and the entire staff loved them. Many requests for the receipe! Also, used the Teriyaki Dipping Sauce receipe another reviewer suggested, highly recommend it!

Broccoli Beef I

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2009
This is some awesome food! I followed other reviewers opinions and doubled the broth and spices... I ended up with way too much thin liquid. I used cornstarch and had to double the amount to get the sauce to thicken up. No worries though because the sauce was so good we almost ate it all anyway. Next time, because there will def be a next time, I will follow receipe and just add a dash more ginger, garlic, and soy to get my prefered flavor. Thanks a ton for this one!!

Tex-Mex Beef and Cheese Enchiladas

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
I was born and raised in Texas and miss Tex-Mex food. This receipe wasn't that hard to make and can easily be changed to the taste of the person making it. I made it to the receipe's instructions, with the exception of using only 1 lb of ground meat, and it was good. I think next time I will add some sauteed onion into the cheese enchiladas for added flavor and will try the short cut of microwaving the shells instead of frying them. My husband, who can be picky and fearful of trying new foods, loved these enchiladas! If the sauce taste a little bland and a little extra of the spices.

Garlic Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
This was good, quick, and easy to make. I made the mistake of mixing in fresh grated parm cheese when I mixed sauce with pasta and it clumped up into a ball. I multiplied the sauce ingrediants by 6 because I have to have all of my pasta covered with it. Next time I will put the parm on after I have plated the pasta. I will make again for sure!

Garlic Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
Wow! I changed the measurements to tablespoons instead of teaspoons (except for the salt) and marinated the chicken in buttermilk for about an hour. I dipped the chicken into the flour mixture, then egg mixture, then into bread crumbs. The breading stayed on and the chicken was amazing! My husband is a picky person and loved this. We fought over who was going to get the leftover for lunch the next day! I'm going to bread everything with this!

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
I have made this recipe twice now. The first time I did like other reviews suggested and omitted the white wine and used red wine to soak the meat in, along with using 1/2 sour cream and cream cheese for the sauce. The second time I made it like the recipe, or tried. When I added the sour cream and white wine I ended up adding cream cheese to tone down the sharp taste and thicken the sauce. It was still good, but I think I'll stick with the red wine version... awesome flavor! Thanks for the recipe, its a keeper!
