Blueberry Flax Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
I really enjoy these, I cut the recipe down for just one serving or two, so I don't have a whole lot, and cover with honey instead of syrup!! Thanks for the recipe

Strawberry Cake from Scratch

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
Like the strawberry flavor, but just a very heavy and dense cake. Not the best I've had.

Beef Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
This is my families favorite! But instead of using beef we use ground pork. Beef is great too, but the pork is our favorite. I also use a package of cole slaw mix. Saves time, and makes it super easy!

Honey-Garlic Glazed Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
The meatballs were good, but the sauce was not my favorite. I ended up making homemade bbq sauce to go with the meatballs.

Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
This was really good, but I did make a few changes. I didn't use soy milk, I grew up on a dairy farm, we support our dairymen. I used skim milk, no banana, didn't have any, added blueberries, used honey instead of sugar, and added in a container of strawberry yogurt. Turned out great, will make again soon!!

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I mixed some up last night. I'm always looking for a way to cut cost. This Taco Seasoning mix will help with this. I used about a heaping tablespoon of flour and about two tablespoons of the mix and added about 1/2 cup of water. Of course you can change the amounts to suit your taste. I also didn't have any crushed red pepper flakes, so I use about an 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper, some of my family members don't care for really spicy food, so I have to keep things milder for them. I know I will keep this mixed up in our spice cabinet and not buy packets again! Thanks for the recipe!!

Pineapple Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
This is a good Cheese ball recipe, but mine turned more into a dip. I used a smaller can of crushed pineapple, I drained it, but added some of the juice to make it creamier. I also used green onions in it instead of the minced onions. I also added some salt and let it sit overnight and it turned out really well. Will make this again!

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
YUMMY!! Made this as a treat for my family and my mother was like - This is really good, what is different in this? I didn't have any 1/2 and 1/2, but I had heavy cream, which worked too, didn't use as much. Will be making this several time this winter! Also was good with some bailey's and vanilla rum in it!!

Spicy Sausage and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
This reminded me of the spanish rice I make. Was very good with the addition of the sausage. I didn't use real spicy sausage, but added a dash of cumin, chili powder, and a little extra garlic powder, couldn't find my cayenne pepper! Very good will make again!

Fish Tacos with Honey-Cumin Cilantro Slaw and Chipotle Mayo

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
This was really good! I had never had fish tacos, and decided I was going to make these to try for fun! I'm so glad I did! I use cod, it was all I had on hand, and it was still wonderful. Next time I will only use one chipotle pepper in the mayo mix, and only enough adobo sauce to taste. I also drizzled a little honey into the slaw, to give it a little sweetness. The extra honey-cumin dressing was drizzled down the whole taco to finish it. Very Good!! I can't wait to make these again!

Mexican Casserole

This was very good. I followed the directions listed here, but, I added a few ingredients that helped make this dish even better. As the chicken was cooking I added a diced onion, a couple cloves of minced garlic then once the chicken was cook, I added a can of chopped green chiles, and more salsa than a 1/4 of cup. Along witht he other ingredients. Will be making this again very soon!!!

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2010
I have made this twice now. LOVE IT!! The dough mixes up very simply. I make smaller buns and larger ones. Today I divided the dough in half and use it to make pigs in the blankets. Then I made buns out of the rest. They were very delicious!! This recipe is so simple I can see myself making these for all sorts of family dinners!! Thanks for sharing this recipe!!!
