BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2010
So simple, and delicious. Great the way it is, but you can also leave the BBQ sauce off, and let people put their own on, though I like it mixed up.

Quick Chinese-Style Vermicelli (Rice Noodles)

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2010
It was very good. I added shrimp cut into pieces, sliced carrots, celery and onion, and left off the green onion. I also doubled the sauce like some people said. It's a lot of changes, but it's a good base. I also used sesame oil in addition to the vegetable oil.

Krystal's Perfect Marinade for BBQ or Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
Wonderful, grilled up great on a camping trip with a portable propane grill. Absolutely dead-simple, with stuff I had around, and delicious.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
Left out the capers(I was out), and baked the fish instead, to keep from the trouble and calories of deep-frying. I added some green peppers, too. Used the small white corn tortillas, and they made it delicious! It was just fantastic, can't wait until I make it again!

Baked Salmon with Coconut Crust

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
Really easy, quick, light and wonderful. The only thing it could use is a sauce, and maybe a soy-based sauce would be good. I made it with a little thicker salmon, and it took about 17min, but was fantastic. Breading is delicious! This recipe will definitely go into the rotation.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
Excellent, with provolone instead of swiss. Went really well with couscous and peas with cumin.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
It was pretty good. I'm used to the more asian-style sauce for this dish, so the tomato taste was a little unfamiliar. Good enough to try again, not so good as to do it the same way. Maybe I'll try the peppers added late, that sounds good, they were pretty mushy.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
Wonderful. It was the best thing I've ever made, almost. 8 hearty servings, I made two changes, and it was great: -no-boil noodles -left overnight in the refridgerator. Really fantastic, and I only used about 8 oz of lasagna noodles, 1/2 the sauce, and if I had ricotta I could have made two. Will definitely make again, and the sauce will go great with spaghetti!

Spicy Slow Cooker Mac-n-Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
I think I may have added the sour cream too late, but the noodles were very soft, overcooked, and the whole dish was a little soupy and not very well homogenized due partly to my mistake.

Irish Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
Make sure to put the sugar on second. Easier to stir with your hands. I doubled the recipe and used about the same amount of cinnamon. Might work well with cinnamon sugar mix, since I work with pretty strong cinnamon. I ended up rolling them instead of shaking them around in a bag, and they turned out great.

Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp Etouffe

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
Very good. The roux took less time than it said, but it turned out great. Excellent, and the cayenne is a must for people who like spice. Update: Made it again, roux was much better, and it was fantastic with only the shrimp, no crawfish.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2009
Fantastic. I subbed small onion for a shallot, left out the chives(out) and used only portobellos and double the parmasean, and it was awesome. Very easy recipe, and it was fantastic!
