I was born in Georgia (USA. My Mother is Southern and Father is Northern. I was raised by them and both sets of Grandparents, so I got the best of both worlds, food-wise.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook simple, yet traditional foods and incorporate more healthy ingredients if possible. I try to keep things as simple as possible. I also have kids, so I love to experiment in hopes they will eat something new. I also like to try foods from everywhere around the world.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love the old recipes handed down from my Grandmothers that don't really have a "written" version. I am lucky they are still here so I can call them for ideas! (I then try to write it down as best I can).

Chicken and Dumplings. Lamb Stew. BBQ Pork with my Greatgrandmother's Simmer Sauce. Chicken Enchiladas. Spinach, Mushroom and Avocado Quesadillas. Beef Stew. Many more....still learning :)
