Strawberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
I thought this was a pretty good recipe. I loved how the strawberries complimented so well with the lemon juice in this cheesecake. However, personal taste issue: I would have omitted 1/2 of the lemon juice because this was a pretty lemony cheesecake. Other than that it is awesome!

French Onion Soup V

perfect, I also add a tad of red wine to the mix which is something french cooks typically do, usually only half a cup with the white wine.

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
This is a interesting lemon pasta. The sauce is not spicy or zangy like many lemon pasta sauces. Almost like a savory sweeter sauce. I liked it, but it does have a tad too much of a lemon taste. I would reduce the lemon juice to half the amount to keep it more savory and less lemon curd tasting. After I added more garlic and salt it tasted better. However, this was pretty good and interesting to taste.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
Really good recipe, however I give this 4 stars just because I added more salt, and seasoning to give it more flavor, but it really is a great recipe and is very restaurant worthy.

Chocolate Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
Very good pie base, meringue I actually just did myself, meringue is really easy to make. However, the chocolate custard base in this pie is super easy to make(for intermediate bakers) and tastes great, I added a teaspoon more of sugar to make it less dark chocolate tasting. Also put chocolate curls on top of the pie to make it more aesthetically pleasing. yum

Smoked Sausage and Zucchini Saute

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
oregano and the zucchini is not a good compliment to each other. it just doesnt taste good at all. This sausage is too salty to add more salt to it. Made this, and it wasnt good at all.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
I gave this 5 stars but i also changed quite a bit, i added only half the powered sugar(halfway when i tasted it, i realized if i added more it would have been way too sweet) but that is just semantics. The cocoa powder gives it a really nice darker chocolate vibe and its a really creamy albeit thick frosting-it is great for formal style cakes(literally perfect for grooms cakes like said above or anything fancy) the frosting holds up well refrigerated on the cake as well.

Kielbasa Alfredo

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
Not a fan. Only because keilbasa is way too salty of a sausage for alfredo sauce. All you end up tasting is keilbasa, nothing else. It wasnt the best.

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
I would give this 4.5 stars if it was an option. I love this. I was originally going to use it on brownies but that was way too sweet together. This is frosting that is thicker than a cake frosting but realllllly rich and yummy. I actually put it back in the fridge and it hardened up into an almost fudge consistency. My boyfriend loved that even more and said it tasted like pb fudge. Love this

Chewy Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
Really great brownies. I found however after using all the ingredients it still wasn't the right consistency for brownies(too thick). I ended up using a few tablespoons of veg oil to loosen up the batter and melted semi sweet chocolate melted into it for something a little more moist. Very great!
