My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
Made this last night and it was amazing! Cut up a pound of bacon, cooked in the stock pot and added to veggies and clam sauce before cooking. I used skim milk instead of half and half and it still was amazing. Let's be honest w/ as much bacon grease and butter how could it not, I probably could have used water and it still would have been delicious! This is a must have recipe! Alot like Market Street Grill clam chowder!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2011
OH MY YUMMY!!!!!!!!! Followed many recipes from the past to make this my own. Used 3 cans cream of chicken soup and 6 boulion cubes, about 1 cup sliced carrots, 1 head of celery sliced, 2 Tbsp butter, 1 small bag of chicken tenders seasoned w/ thyme, rosemary, garlic salt, marjoram & pepper., 1 small bag of frozen corn. Covered all above w/ enough water to barely cover. Let cook on high for 4 hours, turned down to low for 2 hours and then last 2 hours turned back up to high and added 1 small bag of peas and grands biscuits torn into small pieces. Every so often I would stir the soup to turn the "dumplings" over to cook in the broth. Love, love, loved!!

Balsamic Salad dressing

What a great recipe! I really like the taste of balsamic so I added about 1/8 to 1/4cup more of balsamic and only added 1&1/4 of Splenda. Hope you all enjoy.

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
Everyone like this frosting except for me. I'm not much of a chocolate fan but I made this for my cousins birthday who of course loves chocolate. I didn't have the squares of chocolate so I substituted 3 Tbsp. cocoa powder plus 1 Tbsp.cooking oil or shortening for each 1 oz of chocolate needed(this is the formula Better Homes and Gardents gives). It actually worked very well and if it seems to thick just add more oil until the right consistency of melted chocolate. This recipe reminds me of Costcos chocolate cake if you've ever had that. Great recipe for CHOCOLATE LOVERS!

French Toast II

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
My family loves french toast but we like it sweet, so I added alot more sugar, brown and white. I also added more cinnamon but the nutmeg was just right. Sorry I don't have the exact measurments.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
This was a very good recipe. My kids of course didn't like it due to its appearance. The sauce was pretty sweet,so if you're looking for something not to sweet reduce brown sugar. I also doubled the sauce, I think I might triple next time. These were alot like a mini meatloaf rapped up in cabbage. Have fun!

Italian Beef in a Bucket

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
OH MY GOSH!!! This was amazing! I followed this recipe exactly and I'll be honest I was a little worried that I shouldn't have put the juice from both bottles in w/ the meat. Every time I would wake up in the middle of the night, I would smell it and think it smelled to vinegary. But all worry went right out the window when we tasted this masterpiece of a recipe. This will definetly go down in the FAMILY COOKBOOK! Thanks to the chef!
