Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2012
Very nice. Double batch made 2 dozen regular sized cupcakes and 2 dozen minis. (Plus a lot of bowl licking!)

Whole Wheat Ginger Snaps

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
Fantastic! I didn't have allspice so I bumped up the ginger and nutmeg. I also mixed some sprinkles in with the sugar for the topping and they looked very festive.

Vickie's Beer Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
This is the one that tastes like the expensive food party bread. Please use butter though. I even forgot the sugar once and it was great.

Mocha Walnut Cookies

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
Go ahead and double this recipe, you'll be glad you did. Makes a nice chocolately cookie. The mocha was not too strong in my first attempt. I might play around with Kahula in another attempt.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
Fantastic! This was the texture I was looking for. I used roasted garlic flavored alfredo and 1 tsp of garlic powder instead of the roasted garlic.

Pina Colada Cookies II

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
Well received by the party I took them to. I however prefer a chewy or crispy cookie, this one is definitely cake-like. A little bland looking when complete also. I drizzle some Wilton White Candy Melt over top to dress them up.

Corn Dip II

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2007
Yummy! Surprisingly light and refreshing. I used two cans of corn and one can of rinsed black beans. Some people didn't even realize they were eating corn!

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Thanks for the recipe. I'm the cookie person in my neighborhood and these did not disappoint. I used maple extract to flavor table sugar for the coating.

Parmesan Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2007
Very nice bread. I made 4 loaves of it to make mini sandwiches for my husband's birthday party. I used different herb/spice combinations in each one and it was a big hit.

Irish Cream Truffle Fudge

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2007
Fantastic! The only change I'll make the next time is to prepare it in a 9X13" pan. I made it in an 8-1/2" square pan and it was a little thick.

Gingerbread Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
This is a five plus! I made several batches of these to give to my neighbors and they were very well received. Perfect biscotti. The only changes I made were to brush the loaves with an egg wash before baking and sprinkle on some red and green sugar. I also did the second bake with the cookies standing up rather than flipping them.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
Perfect! These came out light and tender. It also made a ton. I omitted the nuts as they were for my son's preschool class and a doubled recipe made 2 dozen regular and 2 dozen mini muffins.

Oat Applesauce Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2005
My playgroup made these disappear - Moms and kids! I soaked the oats at room temp and left them in the fridge overnight covered with plastic. This made early morning prep much easier. I did add a tsp of cinnamon and a few grinds of nutmeg as suggested and everyone loved them. I used unsweetened applesauce this time and will try a fruit applesauce next time. Wonderful!
