My cooking tragedies
Attempting to make potato salad over and over to no avail. Not until a southern coworker gave me a tip. After boiling cut potato's place them in a bowl add salt and pepper then freeze for about 20 -25 minutes. Remove the bowl of potato's to prepare salad. Add strained relish, onion, celery, red and green pepper, mayo, egg and additional salt and pepper to taste. Finally a dash of spicy mustard. This keeps the potato's from being mushy. Wow, people now ask me to make potato salad. LOL

Grandma McAndrews' Irish Soda Bread
Followed recipe except I pan "warmed the raisins and crainrains" with a tablespoon of butter and added to the dry mix. Two loaves were made. Too wet to cut a "x" in top. The entire family and coworkers loved it.
