Classic Key Lime Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2014
It's a nice creamy pie and easy enough to make. I cooked for 30 min as another reviewer suggested and that was perfect. For my taste it there just wasn't enough lime kick.

Taco Salad I

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2014
I'm giving a 4 star because the taste was excellent. But, my caution to others is that I don't see where 15 min is enough time to cook this down. I had to cook down quite awhile as there is just so much liquid. As others suggested I did not mix all together either. I made the salads individually so that any leftovers could still be used the next time. If it had been mixed together the salad and Doritos would have been way too wet to eat.

Pesto Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2014
Made this for dinner last evening. I was not able to find the dry Alfredo mix so I uses a jar of the Classico Alfredo. I also sprinkled some red pepper flakes on the chicken while cooking. As others suggested, I used much more spinach then recipe called for and was very satisfied. This was as good, if not better, then what we order at our favorite Itallian restaurant. We thought it was delicious and will definitely be adding this to our dinner rotation. So simple!

Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2014
Masses for breakfast this morning. I didn't freeze my fruit as I like it better with no brain freeze. I used the vanilla but left out the sugar. I will be making again, we thought it was wonderful.

California Club Chicken Wraps

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2014
Made these for supper last night. My husband and I both loved the wraps. I did use feta and spinach instead of lettuce and Monterrey Jack. I placed the tortilla shells in a hot non stick frying pan (nothing in the pan) for a minute on each side and the wraps browned nicely.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: May 25, 2014
We always order these for an appetizer at one of our favorite restaurants. The only thing I added was the fish sauce another reviewer recommended. Excellent recipe. Every bit as good if not better than any we have ever had at a restaurant.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: May 11, 2014
I love balsamic vinegar and this recipe was great. If you want to cut down a little on the vinegar if you are not used to the taste I think it would still be delicious.

Shredded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2014
Previously have tried brussel sprouts twice and have hated them! Could barely swallow one. This recipe sure changed my opinion. I loved these and so did my husband. I will definitely being making this recipe over and over. I made it exactly as recipe called for. I didn't know how to shred so I used a sharp knife and sliced very thin.

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
Just made this for my husband's birthday tonight. We have made a lot of COB soups and this by far is the best I have ever tasted. The only thing I did differently was to add about two teaspoons of salt when the broccoli and broth were simmering. You will have no problem with soup being thin if you thicken the rue correctly. Will be making this over and over again!

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
This morning is the second time I've made this recipe. It is excellent and the closest I could find to a recipe I had years ago. As always, anything that is homemade with quality ingredients is always so worth the while to make. Allow yourself plenty of time.

Quick Lemon Poppy Seed Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Tested recipe for a bridal shower and it is a KEEPER. Instead of the 1 C of water. I used 1/2 C of Real Lemon Juice and 1/2 C of water. I added about 1 teaspoon of pure lemon extract to the water and lemon juice before putting it into the dry mixture.

Wonderful! I made two different recipes for Easter. This one and another. Both were excellent. I used butter instead of shortening. Great texture and great taste.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2009
Rolls were MOST EXCELLENT! Texture A+, taste A+. I make all my own bread and rolls and don't use a bread machine, food processor or Kitchen Aid mixer, I enjoy kneading dough. As someone who makes a lot of yeast doughs as a tip to others who don't. The flour in a recipe is just an estimate. Humidity and other variables dictate how much you will need. Also, remember that salt and sugar should be carefully measured. Salt is absolutely necessary but one of it's functions is to inhibit rising. Always allow plenty of time when making bread or rolls and remeber a dough that rises slowly that it gives a wonderful taste to the finished product.
