Slow Cooker Vegetarian Minestrone

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2013
Great soup with great flexibility to tweak it and experiment with. I did change the recipe a bit because of what I had on hand. Used lentils instead of beans, added double the garlic, used real tomatoes instead of canned but only because I had some I needed to use up. I will use the can next time even though the fresh ones worked just as great. I did need to add tomato paste because of using the fresh tomato. I also omitted green beans and added an extra zucchini. Perhaps I shouldn't be rating this because I changed it so much but I truly believe with or without my changes, this is a great recipe. I'm not vegetarian and I still enjoyed it.

Barbeque Chicken

I LOVED it! I didnt boil all the sauce ingredients beforehand though. I just poured on top of chicken thighs and in the oven they went. So good and quite easy!

Spanish Rice II

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
I minused the bell pepper (because I hate it), added half a tsp of cumin, used brown rice instead of white, used olive oil instead of vegetable and besides the mistake of using the brown rice it was excellent! The flavor was perfect! The brown rice took way too long to cook and I didnt like the texture of it. Back to white rice for me! Adding a bit of cheddar on top when served was a nice little bonus too!

Navy Bean Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
This was a really great recipe. It was a little more liquidy than I expected and I only added 2 or the 3 extra cups of water halfway through. I will do this again for sure.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
Extremely good! I will be putting this into my regular meal rotation! Only changes I made were doing one can of the cream of chicken soup and for the other I used cream of mushrom. I also just used garlic and herb breadcrumbs because thats what I had on hand. Soooooo....Good! This time I served it with noodles but next time I definitely will go with mashed potatoes with that gravy!

Chicken Parmesan Alfredo

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
Great recipe that I will use again and again. I used my own homemade alfredo sauce but besides that followed the recipe exactly. I did feel it needed a little extra something so I will be experimenting but it was still great. Very easy to prepare and worth making!

Mexican Pizza I

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2011
Yummy!!! I used shredded chicken instead of ground beef and I did half smashed pinto beans mixed with half refried an didnt bother with the green chiles but it was great! I did have to fry the tortillas longer than 15 seconds per side. I did 30-45 seconds per side to get them nice and crispy. Great recipe!

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
Absolutely delicious! Didnt have celery on hand so I used celery salt in place of regular salt. Instead of doing anything in a skillet I put all ingredients except biscuits into the crock pot for about 6 hrs. My chicken was raw and frozen when I started. After the 6 hrs I put everything in a baking dish and added refrigerated biscuits on top and cooked for the 30 mins suggested. I forgot to use foil so some of the biscuit wasnt completely cooked and had to stay in longer but next time I will remember the foil
