Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: May 26, 2011
WOW!!! didn't have a deep fryer so had to fry and used green Tabasco but worked just as well. Left in the fridge overnight just cuz it happened that way but was awesome.

Pate Recipe

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
Good basic starter recipe though i had to adapt due to lack of all the ingredients and needed some extra flavours. Used pork liver and no veal. Used whole milk because i couldn't get my hands on cream. Added thyme, mace (you can use all spice) and one bay leaf which i took out before putting it all into the blender. Homemade patè way better than anything you can get at a store or in my case can't get at all.

Marble Swirl Pound Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
Really good cake. 4 stars because i had to follow the suggestion and reduce the flour and add the ingredients in a different order. I also added a 1/4 cup less sugar for my mom who doesn't like super sweet desserts. Next time I think i'll make it even less sweet.

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2010
Nice pie. Did the lattice top. Mixed the strawberries and rhubarb ahead of time and let it sit. Then allowed most of the liquid remain in the bowl. Let the pie sit in the oven for 15 mintues after baked and it wasn't runny at all. Would add a bit more sugar next time and maybe cover the top for the first 15 mintues while baking so it doesn't burn. That way i can leave it in longer so the bottom bakes longer.

Gazpacho

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
recipe is excellent even though I have the worst food processor ever and had to improvise a bit. Added cilantro and jalapeno and some sour cream on top of each bowl. Used a bit less tomato juice.

Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: May 14, 2010
great and easy. i followed the other reviews and added vanilla and upped the milk from 3/4 to 1 cup and then added a bit more milk until the consistency was right. my only disappointment was that it yielded exactly 1 dozen. next time i'll make more for sure.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
Great recipe. Follow everyone's advice. espeically the part about letting the sauce simmer for a long time or letting the lasagna stay in the fridge over night. Letting the noodles soak in hot water works but make sure you take them out of the water and separate them right away otherwise they'll stick together. Still tastes the same but doesn't look as nice. make sure to let it rest. that'll help it stay together.

Glazed Meatloaf II

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2010
Best meatloaf ever. Moist and tasty. Excellent. Made it with ground turkey this time and turned out just as great. Sometimes I add a bit of Worcestershire sauce into the topping and I may recommend having some extra topping on hand cuz it is so good.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
Tastes great. definitely add vanilla and i added 1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice and 1/2 teaspoon mace. It does get a bit soggy so i'm gonna try the egg whites on the bottom and maybe some corn starch to thicken it although i'm thinking of keeping some of the mixture out cuz i don't want to add too much extra.

Rustic Autumn Fruit Tart

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
Awesome!! made the free form one cuz i don't have a tart pan. Just don't leave the dough in the fridge for too long cuz then it gets too hard. Didn't have cardamon so i used mace spice. still tasted great. had to bake for an extra 10 minutes but i'm using an oven in China so that might be the reason why.
