About this Cook
I love to cook and my dream kitchen would be an industrial/commerical kitchen since that is where I have learned to cook. I am not a top chef but I love most of the cooking shows that I have watched. My favorite cook on the tube is Rachel Ray 30 minutes for a meal is great. My favorite cook books are the ones that I find at yard sales with country cooking in them. Experimentation is key in my kitchen too, taking a recipe and changing ingredients to make a good meal. Married to a wonderful man who says that I have not fixed a bad meal since we have been together but there is still time since we have only been married for 3 years.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite thing to cook is Thanksgiving Dinner and food for entertaining. I try to cook for as many as I can so that they can taste my cooking. I am not a pro but I love good food and I think that I prepare that.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My traditions if I have any is to share time in the kitchen with my children and grandchildren. I have 3 sons and all of them love to cook. My oldest son is more like me he will test a recipe and if it is hit he will share the food but not the method in which is was prepared. Then the other two are great cooks in their own right. They have created foods out of things that you would not think of using and they are good.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking for senior citizens in a nursing home, also working with a bride to make her reception a blast. Also doing my own wedding reception for 100.
My cooking tragedies
Burnt cornbread, and overcooked steak on the grill(shoe leather). Other than that I think that it has all been good.

Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken
I made a dish similar to this and it was very good I used the same ingredients except I added 4 cups of chicken broth and a block of cream cheese. It turned into a wonderful soup that feeds about 12. Served it with tortilla chips and hard rolls very comforting.. very good.

Spinach and Potato Frittata
I tried this after a hard week of work (The Weekend) it was a great dish easy to prepare. I also added some ground chicken, tomatoes, and the meal was excellent along with a tossed salad and bread. Will make again..Thanks
