Baked Spaghetti Squash Lasagna Style

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2014
Very good! I am a new vegetarian and am trying to find fresh meals for my family to eat that will please all of us. This was easy to make and a different use of Spaghetti Squash. I did add Lasagna noodles because I was worried it would not hold its shape. My children are asking me to make it again so it must have been a hit. I think next time I am going to add a layer of spinach as well.

Tomato and Mozzarella Bites

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2014
Turned out very good. I made these for a Halloween Party and everyone loved them. I used cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls and sprinkled basil with a little salt and pepper on top. I did not have basil leaves so I just used what I had in my spice cabinet. They all turned out very good and the display was eye catching. Thanks for a great appetizer.

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
My family loved these meatballs. I thought they were a little on the spicy side but they made great meatball sandwiches and I have enough left over for spaghetti and meatballs tomorrow night.

No Bake Cookies V

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2013
Well... These "No Bake Cookies V" were definitely a notable recipe, granted they were not the best No Bakes' I've ever tried but they were good. The Cocoa powder was a smart addition and gave it a chocolate bite. All together it was great and quite easy so make and consume.

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2013
This is more like a cake. I followed the recipe just as written. I didn't add applesauce instead of shorting or or use half the flour to cut calories. Another reviewer said that these are key components to the recipe and I agree. Adding a dash of cinnamon or vanilla is one thing, but the fat and gluten is something that has to stay. With that said, the cake was good - not great, but good. The blueberries did not fall to the bottom like some reviews had issues with. The cake itself has just the right amount of sweetness. If you take off the topping it would be much better. The topping was paste like and very sweet, not crumbly. I spread it over the cake anyway and when I had my first bite I took the topping off. Way to much sweetness for one cake. Also - the cooking time if off. It took my cake 45 minutes to complete baking, not the 30 as suggested. To sum up - bake the cake for 45 minutes and skip the topping. It will be much better. It's still a keeper. Thank you for a good recipe.

Apple Cake IV

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
This was great! The apples I used were really small so doubled them and I am glad I did. It was just enough. This cake taste even better the second day. I read a review someone wrote that said they used a brown sugar crumb mixture for the topping, I think I will use that next time. As for this time - my husband requested powdered sugar.

Apple Dumpling Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2013
Super easy and good. I am always looking for ways to use up apples. It seems like my boys constantly buy them at the grocery store and forget that we have them after a day or two. Then, it is up to me to find creative ways to use up 8 - 10 apples in a day. This cake was easy to make and delicious to eat. Perfect!

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2013
I have made this for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter for the past couple of years. I follow everything except the cloves. I add pineapples and cherries to my ham and the glaze adds so much flavor to both!

Grandma Jeanette's Amazing German Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2013
I really do not like cloves so it was a given that I left that ingredient out. I think I should of let it cook just a little longer to let the apples soften, and after tasting it I added a tad bit more sugar. But overall this was really good! I served it with Kielbasa and potatoes. My boys said it was a nice change from the sauerkraut I normally serve. I will be making this one again.

My Kid's Favorite Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2013
I read over this recipe really quick one night and made it for dinner, without the beer since my husband recently had a liver transplant. It was still really good! Then I called my sister and told her about it and she made the same recipe only with chicken, and she said it was awesome! Tonight the hubby did not eat dinner with us so I actually followed the recipe with the beer and it was way better! I love this one, thanks for a great dinner!

No-Bake Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: May 27, 2013
These were really good but super sweet! Brown Sugar, sugar and honey was a little too much sweet for me, I will be making these again for sure! But, next time I am cutting back on the sugar.

Apple Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2012
This was a really easy apple pie recipe. Honestly, you just toss everything into a pie shell and bake. I cheated and used a store bought pie crust, which I know took a lot of the taste away. I normally bake my own pie crust and that makes all the difference. It was a little on the sweet side, so next time I will not use as much sugar. I had the same issue with the pie being a little runny, but the next day it was fine. Next time, I will wait a full day before I cut into the pie, if i can wait that long.

Apple Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2012
This was really good and really sweet. I did not make the butter sauce to add on top, and actually I am kind of glad I did not. The cake was moist, which I was worried about but it surprised me. I followed the directions exactly as written. I looked over all the reviews and noticed that not one did a review without some sort of modification to the recipe. I followed the recipe - Great cake, super moist, but a little sweet for my taste. I'm sure you will be very pleased.

Banana Cake IX

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
Nope! I will note make this one again. I took a second look at all the ingredients and thought there was something missing. No milk? No buttermilk? Nothing with a liquid consistancy to it? But I trusted the reviews and thought I would give it a chance. When I added the banana's the dough looked more like cake batter, so I thought I was OK. My cake looked just like the picture. I made a glaze for it which my husband had preferred I had not. My whole family thought the cake was why too dry. We all took out the gallon of milk and each had a big glass to finish off our piece. This cake is dry, dry, dry.. Just want to warn everyone before they make it.

The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie

Excellent - I found my new chocolate chip cookie recipe. These came out fluffly, chewy and not too sweet. Chocolate chip is not my favorite, so for me to say it is good...it is really good.

Simple Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
Really easy to make but anyone can tell that orange juice was used in this recipe. The flavor of the juice is powerful when you first bite into the dumpling. But, my kids loved it. If I made this again, I would cut the orange juice and sugar in 1/2, there was plenty of syrup and the orange juice is full of sugar.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
This was really good and so easy to prepare. Could could fool anyone into thinking that you cook since you were born. I bought a 4 lb pork loin and a liter of root beer. Rubbed the pork loin with salt, pepper, a small amount of garlic and some liquid smoke. Covered the it in the root beer and let it cook on low over night. Before I went to work the next morning, drained the meat, pulled it apart and added the 1/2 a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's. then left instructions for my husband to take it out of the slow cooker in 1 hour. When I came home from work that night I re-heated and served with corn on the cob and baked beans. It was great and I had so much left over my boys used it in their lunches that whole week! I will definitely make this again, especially for a large group!

Speedy Spaghetti

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
I can't say that I followed the receipe. I know, I know...people hate that. But I love the idea it gives to make everything in one pot. She is correct, this is a cooking down process and you have to watch the noodles when you add the water. After I tried this the first time, I decided that this is how I was going to make spaghetti from now on.

Whipped Frosting I

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
I don't know what happened. I followed all the directions. I re-read everything to make sure I didn't miss a step. But I just dumped it all down the sink. It was greasy and gritty. Not a good recipe.
