French Bread

Easy recipe...dumped everything into bread maker as listed on recipe. Very good. I let the bread rise double the time and baked it, let it cool and sliced it and used the Garlic Butter from this site and put it in the freezer to freeze the butter and bagged all of it. Now I can pull out a few pieces and cook them in the oven at 350 for 10 min anytime I need some bread. Thank you for the wonderful and easy recipe!

Game Day Sangria

This was excellent! 1 bottle of red wine does not get you 4 cups of wine, so I just used one bottle. I also sub. ginger ale for club soda. Rave reviews. I am printing 5 copies to hand out to the people who came to my international party.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Jalapeno Popper Spread

I have made this several times (over 20) and it has been a hit every time. I have also made extra and put it in a small container, pressed plastic wrap on top of the dip and put it in the freezer. It works great for drop in company.

Spanish Rice II

I made some changes. I used 2 cups of rice (cooked separate) instead of one. I also had fresh tomatoes instead of canned. I blanched and diced them and put everything else together and cooked much of the liquid off. I did not use chili powder...I added chili oil (about 4-6 shakes) and garlic (2 cloves - pressed) to 2 steaks (1 1/2 lbs) fat trimmed and cubed put in a hot stirfry pan. Once everything was done, I combined it all and served it with chedder cheese and sour cream. Total hit!

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

Very good, very easy. I browned the hamb. in 6 garlic cloves and a little olive oil. I cut the cr. cheese to 4 oz., used 4 oz of mushrooms ans liquid, 1/2 cup of sr. cream and 1 can of cr. of mushroom soup. I also added salt, pepper and garlic powder. Tasty and easy.
