Hazel's Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
Fantastic recipe! The meatballs took about an hour and a half before they were done, and I added a few extra spices ( onion powder, Oregano, garlic powder ) to the meat mixture just because we like our food a litle more spicy. Thanks for the great recipe!

Pioneer Cut Dumplings from the 1800's

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
Just like my grandmother made! I made these dumplings for my family and they were a hit! I have been searching for a recipe to make dumplings like my grandmother made when I was a child growing up in rural Arkansas, and I finally found it. Letting the dough sit for a couple of hours before boiling is very important for texture if you want firm noodles. Thanks again for a great recipe! You have my eternal gratitude for this recipe!!

Simple Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
Very nice recipe! This is the first time I have made homemade lasagna and it turned out great! The only changes I made were adding chopped onions and diced black olives to the cheese mixture, and I used garlic salt instead of table salt. This recipe is definately a hit at our house! Thank you!

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries

Very nice french fry recipe! I used a Fry-Baby frier and these turned out great! A dash of Lowreys seasoned salt before serving really made these fries a hit with my family. Thanks!

Terry's Texas Pinto Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
Awesome recipe! Growing up, we always had a "beans and cornbread" night at our house. Now that I have a family of my own, I decided to continue the tradition. I never got the original recipe from my mom, but this recipe tastes exactly the same. Thank you very much! By the way, the BEST cornbread recipe I have found is Nicole Callen's, "Buttery Corn Bread" recipe, here on Allrecipes

Quesadillas I

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
My family has made a slight variation of this recipe for years. The main variation we do is that we add a very shallow coating of vegatable oil to the pan before placing the tortilla in it, and fry the tortilla until it is slightly crisp on both sides. It makes for a crunchier quesadilla, and when cut into slices, it makes a great appetizer or movie/game snack. Good basic recipe, thanks!

Wow! Sweet and Sour Sauce

Wow is right! No more store bought sweet-n-sour sauce for us! This was so good I made another batch so it would be ready for our next stir-fry night! Thanks for a great recipe!

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2013
I followed the recipe almost exactly, and it turned out perefect! I dried my bread overnight, however, and sliced it into cubes the next morning, and let them air dry until I started the recipe in the afternoon. I think that made the difference as far as being too moist. I look forward to experimenting with this recipe in the future. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Oven Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2013
Awesome recipe! Bought a rack of ribs for the grill but the weather turned out bad. This recipe saved the weekend! The only thing I did different was marinate the ribs in soy sauce and rice vinegar for 4 hours before cooking. After cooking for an hour and a half the meat was falling off the bones!
