Maple Walnut Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: May 16, 2014
This cake is amazing! The icing wasn't for me though, too plain for such an elegant cake. NOTE: You need 7 eggs, but only 5 of the yolks. I also sliced the cake in half and added some walnuts and drizzles of pure maple syrup. Yum!

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2014
This was so amazing and easy! I took the others advice and added two gloves of garlic, a little bit of fresh rosemary, and used fresh mushrooms. I also doubled the sauce so we had lotsa gravy for the potatoes and bread.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2014
SO amazing. I made as is, except my fresh rosemary was frozen. And I also marinated them for 5 hours (made at lunch and grilled at supper when I got home). My boyfriend loved them and went for seconds! (He is very picky).

Popcorn Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2013
Pretty good. I think it's missing corn syrup or something. It was a little too gooey (I had trouble cutting it into wedges).

Caramel Popcorn with Marshmallow

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2013
So yummy! Perfect texture (soft and chewy but not too gooey/sticky) and taste and colour. I used air popped popcorn and added a cup of chopped pecans. Yummy!

Chocolate Cupcakes with Caramel Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2013
These are super moist! The icing is really sweet but delicious. I suggest making 1.5 times the icing, if you are using a piping bag.

Lemon Cupcake with Blackberry Buttercream

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2013
These are a really nice texture and the flavour is great! I used coconut almond milk and lactose free margarine (Becel Vegan). For the icing I used 1/2 C raspberries, 3 C icing sugar, and 1/2 C shortening.

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2013
I didn't make the cinnamon bun portion, but the bun portion was spot on! I made this recipe into twelve large pizza buns, by spreading a can of pizza sauce, sprinkling with parm & oregano & mozza, and topping with small pieces of pepperoni. I rolled this up and baked for 30 mins. They were scrumptious!

So delicious! My boyfriend said it was the best pork he's ever had (he's usually more of a chicken and beef guy).

Exquisite Yeastless Focaccia

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2012
Very good and easy! I needed something without yeast (guest had an allergy). It really didn't miss the yeast at all. Made the dough as directed (added 1/4 C flour) and let it sit until supper (6 hours). I sprinkled some applewood smoked cheddar, parmeson, and some garlic seasoning from Mrs. Dash right before throwing it in the oven. Very good!

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2012
Absolutely amazing!! So most and great texture and the taste is to die for! I halved the recipe and it made 12 perfectly sized muffins (bake for 20-25 minutes at 350). I also used applesauce instead of oil. SO GOOD! Thank you!!

Kyle's Favorite Beef Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
Best stew I ever had! In my boyfriend's words: "You can serve this to people". He even had seconds and does not really like stew. I did add a large can of diced tomatoes and subbed yams and celery for the potatoes and the mushrooms (personal preference).

Fluffy Creamy Frosting

Perfect! I am going to try no egg and more milk next time. NOTE: I didn't have any powdered milk so I just nixed that and the water and added 3 tbsp of milk.

White Almond Wedding Cake

DELICIOUS and easy. Thanks for sharing! I took another reviewers suggestion and whipped the egg whites before adding. I am wondering though if less flour might be OK?

Lemon Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
This cake is perfect! I made it for a wedding cake (for 16" I x by 3 and add 15 minutes cooking time and for 10" I x by 1.5). Just a note, the egg whites really need to be whipped to a think merangue texture... it makes all the difference. So make sure there's no grease on your utensils or yolk in the whites. Also do not use the instant lemon pie filling. The real cooked stuff has much more taste. THANKS FOR SHARING!!

Lemon Poppy Seed Loaf

Delicious!! Made exactly as is but I added 3/4 tsp of lemon extract. NOTE: you need two lemons for this recipe to get the 1/2 cup and 3 tbsp of rind. And it takes 20 minutes to make the muffins

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

These were ok. Kinda dry and crumbly. I used margarine instead of butter and followed one reviewer's suggestion to use 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar.
