Easy Taco Casserole

Reviewed: May 5, 2014
Easy to make. I used mild salsa so I didn't get complaints from my daughter who hates spicy food. Very good but you need to add a salad to make it a balanced meal.

Buttermilk Syrup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2013
I just tasted it 5 minutes after cooking so this is an early review. However, it is delicious. While it is still a tad warm my daughter dipped cut apples in it and agrees it is fantastic. I will update my review if tomorrow I try it and edit my 5 stars but if it is good as it is 5 minutes out that won't happen. LOL

Really only needs 1/4 cup of the brown sugar.

Pineapple Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2012
I don't always give five stars but this one deserves it. Easy, kid friendly, at least for my kids. Few ingredients is a plus and not a lot of prep work. I baked mine in a large pie pan. It is a bit shallow that way but it worked out fine. Good for any season and it was a good match for the salty ham we had. I cut the sugar down to 3/4 cup. That was the only ingredient change. .

Asian Orange Chicken

The coating is tricky. If you don't feel like dealing with the flour give it a try without. Flavor is very good. Orange flavor was not overpowering.

Oven Fried Chicken III

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2012
Easy, kid friendly. I did not have bread crumbs so I used crushed Mrs. Cubbisons stuffing. That is the only change I made. Had a good flavor.

Pro Ganache

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
It really does help to cover with plastic wrap. Make sure you drop it onto the top of the chocolate. I absolutely love this ganache.

Chocolate Ganache

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
I followed the recipe directions but it came out grainy. It must be my fault but I don't know what I did. Easy to follow directions and good flavor for someone who prefers dark to mild chocolate.

Banana Toffee Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
Everyone likes it except for my three kids, but what do they know :). I think homemade whipped cream makes a big difference in this recipe. You won't find a dessert that seems as fancy with so little effort.

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
Delicious. Kid friendly, at least for my kids. Easy, flavorful. And no cream soup, yay! I saute'd the chicken with some white wine added to the butter in the pan. I added a cup of broccoli during the last 30 minutes along with another couple shakes of oregano.

Not sure why this is called a brownie. It's a cake but it's a good one. Easy to make and kid friendly.

Shredded Tri-Tip for Tacos in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2011
This is wonderful. Easy, kid friendly for my kids if I leave out the peppers. My family doesn't like saucy meat such as BBQ beef etc. so this worked out well. With the leftovers I made a machaca & scrambled egg type dish the next morning. I liked that just as much as the original dinner.

Pecan Turtle Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
Like a few other reviewers, I found this too greasy from the butter and the brown sugar mixture grainy. Not sure how to fix these issues. Cook the brown sugar mix longer? I was concerned that if I overcooked it then it would turn into brittle.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
I did what some other reviewers did. I added sliced onions on the bottom and added about 1/4 cup broth below the turkey just to have a little juice to pour over my white rice. The onions were yummy.

Added walnuts. Good flavor. Good texture. My personal preference is not to mix chocolate and banana. I like both flavors but on their own.

Slow Cooker Manly Stew

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2011
Very good but keep in mind it will be a bit salty as both cans of soup and powdered onion/beef has tons of sodium. But the flavor is very good. I added thinly sliced carrots, celery at the beginning and peas at the end to make it a complete meal. Worked great.
