Carmel Apple Martini

VERY strong. I made it as written and it was too strong to drink, so I altered it and made 2 parts sour apple pucker, 2 parts butterscotch schnapps, 1 part vanilla vodka, and 2 parts apple juice. Much better.

Butternut Squash Soup

SO GOOD! I used this recipe for my first time ever making butternut squash soup and it was great! At the suggestion of a friend I baked the squash in a 400 degree oven for about 45 minutes to make them easier to peel and cut. I also used chicken stock instead of water and chicken bullion. It was so good, I had 3 friends ask for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Ham

I do this same recipe except I pack the brown sugar on top of the ham, and then pour some maple syrup on top of that. It melts on the ham and creates a delicious glaze. I add a little water to the bottom of the crock, which creates a juice to pour over the ham and mashed potatoes.

Cinnamon Hazelnut Biscotti

This was delicious and easier to make than I thought. Mine didnt look exactly perfect, they broke a little when cutting, but they tasted awesome. Even my boyfriend who isnt really into sweets thought they were great.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

I made this for a dinner party, and drizzled over it an white chocolate orange sauce. It was pretty good that night, but DELICIOUS the following days. If you are making it for an event I suggest making it a day or two before and just keeping it covered. My only complaint is that it took MUCH longer than the recommended time to cook. I made sure my ingredients were room temperature, but maybe my house is a little cooler than it should be and the items were too cold. Either way though it ended up delicious.

I suggest using Provelone or Mozzarella cheese and adding a couple sandwich pepperoni slices for more flavor... SO GOOD!

Dessert Pizza

I loved this recipe. The second time I did it I made a different "sauce." Try 1 part cream cheese and 1 part marshmellow fluff. It is a fruit dip my mother used to make a lot and it was SO GOOD on this "pizza!"

Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

This was really good. I took advice of others who used chive cream cheese, but I used 8oz of regular cream cheese and added fresh chives which added a LOT of flavor. I also added extra garlic because I love garlic. It was very quick (done in about 20 minutes) and easy to make. Leftovers heat up great as well.

Shrimp Chowder

This was really delicious, and heated up great for leftovers too. The only issue I had was the cooking time after the potatoes were added. I ended up having to cook it WAAAAY longer than suggested in order to make the potatoes soft enough and the chowder thick enough. Though once it was all cooked through it really was good, I would recommend.

Fruit Dip II

My mother always makes this dip for fruit. It is so easy and delicious, just enough sweetness without being too much. Also a great topping for a fruit torte, sometimes I add food coloring to make it more festive.

Fettuccini Carbonara

Mmmmm, really good! I mixed the cream, eggs and cheese together before pouring on as mentioned and it was SO creamy! I loved it and so did my boyfriend. VERY filling too. I get home from work late and I need to find meals I can make in a hurry so we don't have to eat at 8:00, and this was so quick. I loved it!

Tasty Tender Pork Tenderloin

WOW. This was fantastic! I was a little wary while I was making it because the bright pink color (and the smell too) of the sauce kind of put me off, but when I took a bite it was AWESOME! My boyfriend LOVED it, I caught him spooning leftover sauce into his mouth while I was cleaning up! I cut every bit of fat off the tenderloin so I was a little worried it wouldn't be as tender but it was still very tender. I didn't have bottled Russian dressing so I made my own from one of the recipes on this site. I would highly recommend!

Italian Sausage Tortellini Soup

This was really delicious! I followed the recipe but unfortunately forgot to buy green peppers so I had to do without, but it was still delicious. It is different from the sausage tortellini soup my mother used to make (more tomato flavor) but I actually liked it better. I think next time I make it I may add a little more sausage, but it was otherwise perfect. I would definately recommend!!

Ann's Sister's Meatloaf Recipe

This was really delicious and SO moist, the onion soup mix was a great idea I have not tried before. There was a few things I changed the second time I made it though. Instead of the ketchup and tomato sauce I made a ketchup and BBQ sauce mixture to use inside and on top of the meatloaf, which added a little tang and a lot of flavor. I also omitted the bacon and MSG and added in chopped onions. I would definately recommend!
