Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2013
Made it as is, with the exception of additional cinnamon. It ended up being too thin in my opinion. I think that next time, I will use half the milk and add it while the oatmeal is still on the stove, to also prevent it from cooling down too much. Very yummy though, excited to try it again.

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2012
These were delicious! They disappeared quickly from a game day buffet. I think I will try to add the sour cream under the cheese next time. Just a bit dry.

Sweet and Sour Drumettes

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2012
Very yummy, but I wish the flavor went all the way through. I think I will try this with cut up chicken next time as others have suggested.

Sarah's Banana Bread Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2012
I like sweet and moist banana bread, but was baking for someone who does not like sweets, so I tried this recipe. It was ok, I would put in more bananas and cinnamon if I made it again.

Cobb Sandwich

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
Delicious! Great way to get your Cobb salad fix while trying something different. I had to use turkey lunch meat instead of the chicken and I added tomato slices, which I think are a must for this sandwich.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2012
Absolutely fantastic. I followed another review and only put in 1t cinnamon, but added 1/4t clove and 1/4t nutmeg, I put in some chocolate and peanut butter chips, and I did not smoosh them down. My guests couldn't stop eating them, everyone complimented the cookies and I was asked for the recipe. I only had them in the oven for 8 minutes (thank you for the comment on timing!) and it was perfect.

Chicken Nachos

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
This is a great recipe on its own or when you decide to make it your own. I sometimes add in extras like black olives, chives or sauteed green and red peppers, but its always a crowd pleaser!

Terrific Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
This recipe is super delicious just the way it is. I've also had it with added black or kidney beans which is also good. I wouldn't have thought to put salsa or taco seasoning into chili, but it works so well! Its in my regular dinner rotation and we fight over the left overs!

Decorator Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
I used this recipe (I used mostly margarine and a little butter because that's what was on hand, plus I added 1 t almond extract) to decorate cookies tonight. It not only tastes delicious, but it works well for decorating and sets up nicely for putting the cookies in tins. This is my new go-to icing recipe.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2010
I put bread at the bottom of the dish to absorb the grease because I used ground chuck. It was not enough to soak up all of the grease. In the future, I will use ground round or sirloin. Another comment said to not use all of the contents of the onion soup mix, however, I put it all in and it tasted great! My boyfriend who is not a big fan of meatloaf loved this recipe. Thank you for helping me expand our dinner choices!
