Being the oldest of eight kids, My mom didn't mind the help in the kitchen. ;) Soon. I was Cooking dinner for my whole ten person family. Now, I live with my Fiance. And he loves good food. And I love when he steps in the kitchen to help/ watch. ;)

My cooking triumphs

My cooking tragedies
I can only really think of two cooking/baking tragedies.
Both of which made me sad. haha
I made my First angel food cake in a non stick "rubber feel" bunt pan. When I was 15 years old.
It took 12 eggs. And A lot of prep time. And It looked beautiful on up to the last few minutes of baking. When all of a sudden, the Bunt pan burst into flames. And melted into the cake. I had to put out the fire and throw the cake out.
I'll use traditional bunt pans from now on.
I made a beautiful clear broth chicken noodle soup one time and Had the sudden urge to add dumplings to it. Result. It was not clear anymore. and because of the light broth the dumplings broke down in it.
* Personal Lesson.*
Thin broth,No dumplings.
