About this Cook
“I love to cook. I love to bake. I have been interested in cooking/baking ever since I can remember. I started experimenting with it all, when I was nine years old. Being the oldest of eight kids, My mom didn't mind the help in the kitchen. ;) Soon. I was Cooking dinner for my whole ten person family. Now, I live with my Fiance. And he loves good food. And I love when he steps in the kitchen to help/ watch. ;)
My favorite things to cook
Anything Delicious. Especially healthy. And Unique. And decedent sweets. Favorites. Cheesecake & Cookies. (In moderation. Of course.) :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Just a few: Cream of Mushroom Surprise. Sesame Peanut Butter Balls. Pasta Fasule. Mexican Chili. Moms' Spice Cookies. Fruit Juice Jello. Lime and Pistachio Fluffy Wuffy. Vanilla French Toast. Hearty Chicken Noodle Soup. Fresh Guacamole.
My cooking triumphs
I have had quite a lot of these. Luckily. So It will take some thought to pick my favorites. (Coming soon.)
My cooking tragedies
I can only really think of two cooking/baking tragedies. Both of which made me sad. haha #1.... I made my First angel food cake in a non stick "rubber feel" bunt pan. When I was 15 years old. It took 12 eggs. And A lot of prep time. And It looked beautiful on up to the last few minutes of baking. When all of a sudden, the Bunt pan burst into flames. And melted into the cake. I had to put out the fire and throw the cake out. Very Dis-heartening. *Personal Lesson.* I'll use traditional bunt pans from now on. #2... I made a beautiful clear broth chicken noodle soup one time and Had the sudden urge to add dumplings to it. Result. It was not clear anymore. and because of the light broth the dumplings broke down in it. * Personal Lesson.* Thin broth,No dumplings.
