Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
Super easy, & super tastey! I spread garlic butter on the crust. I also cooked the dough for around 10 mins before tooping it, because I don't like my cheese browned, it worked out very well =)

Ultimate 7-Layer Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
Yummy!!!! I made this for a little get together at my boyfriends house- I should have made a double batch! It was gone in no time and everyone wanted more!!! I used homemade Salsa which I think made a huge difference! I made it like the recipe, only I didn't use olives, and added some Picco on top- I also served with chips. I'll be using this recipe allllllll the time =)

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
I have never made coleslaw before so I was pretty happy with how this turned out. It is sweet, but I like it that way- if you don't like sweet slaw stay away from this recipe! I used Light Miracle Whip, 1/3 cup sugar, and Red Wine Vingar because I didn't have White Wine Vingar, I also used Celery Seed instead of Poppy Seed, and added Pepper and Raddish.

Blackened Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
Yummy! I made these into sandwhiches- so tastey! I also cooked them all the way on the stove, it did get a little smokey but it turned out awesome- mosit on the inside charred on the outside. I will be making this often. I paired these sandwiches with "Cajun Style Baked Sweet Potato" from this website- a great meal.

Homestyle Chicken and Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
A really yummy base recipe, but the biscuts were still kind of raw- I think I'll cook them on a baking sheet for a little bit 1st next time. I have made a healtheir version by using rice instead of biscuits. *EDIT* I made it again, this time I cooked the biscuts for 5 mins before adding them so it wasnt raw. Also I used 1 can cream of ck, 1 can cream of potato and I added onion. Very yummy this way!

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

It was ok- if you don't cut the meat SUPER THIN the meat gets really chewy and tuff. Needs less ginger, more garlic. I added oinon, peppers and mushroom. I also doubled the sauce.

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2010
Good as a base recipe but I made a lot of changes.... I browned the beef with onion, drained rotel and taco seasing, drained the fat, then added the beans with some taco sauce. Then I skipped the chips on the bottom, put the bean an beef mixture on bottom then covered with Mexican style cheese- baked untill bubbly, then pulled out let it cool for a little bit then added the sour cream, shredded lettuce, picco, jalos, and olives. I served it nacho style with the chips on the side- the boyfriend and I loved it, he ate almost half the pan!

Buffalo Chicken Burgers with Blue Cheese Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
I fried them stove-top, and put diced up red onions and mushrooms in them. They were a little dry, but I over cooked them a little bit- I'm not used to making chicken burgers. I made them for 3 red meat eatin' guys and they goobled them down right away =)

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
Good recipe, but not the best- I usally make veggie lasagna so this was a nice change. I added more oinion, mushroom and green pepper. Also I browend the sausage seperatly and only put it in half because I don't like it- but my boyfriend does. I also added grated cheese andd shreeded cheese mixtures to the cheese mix, and I tooped it off with Munster Cheese- it goes great with the sauce and browns so nicely! Goes great with garlic bread &/or salad.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
Awesome recipe- thanks so much! I stuck to the recipe, except I used a roasted chicken from Kroger (I shredded it and then coated it with the cajun seasoning) and I added red onion, fresh garlic, red pepper flake and used reduced fat sour cream instead of heavy cream to make it a little healthier. I was a little worried when I started making it because I was thought it was just going to taste like sour cream, so I added a little more cajun seasoning- and don't worry- it doesn't taste like sour cream at all!! My boyfriend took two bites and said "This is ___ delicous!"- That's the 1st time I've had to bleep his comment, so I'm taking that as a good thing ;)

Texas Old West Burger

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2010
Very good burger! This is a great recipe if you want something a little different from the same ol’ meat and bun. I am giving it 5 stars because it was really good- and I didn't follow as is so it wouldn't be fair not to ;) And plus you know whever there is complete silence whenever one is eating that's a good sign! What I did was: I used ground beef and mixed in some A1 Steak Sauce, and Lawyr’s Seasoning Salt (Do NOT add any salt- they will be waaaayyy too salty) then diced up Jalapenos and Bacon (can you tell I’m cooking for 4 hungry guys? lol) I then caramelized the onion- next time Ill throw in some mushroom with it, and served it on garlic bread after having the BF throw them on the grill and topping them with cheddar cheese. I cut mine into 3 pieces, I put Ranch on piece, Ketchup on the other, and BBQ sauce on the last- I don't know which was the best- they were all great! This is a great basic recipe that you can turn into many different things- thanks for the inspiration!
