Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2012
Amazing!! My husband and I loved it, and the leftovers were even better than when I first made it! I used a bit more garlic and onions, and used italian style diced tomatoes. No red pepper flakes because neither my husband or I have any type of heat tolerance haha. Also switched the cream for half and half and nixed the parsley for fresh spinach instead to make it healthier, and it was incredibly tasty! The best thing about this meal is that it's so easy to make small substitutions and it still comes out absolutely fantastic! Will be making this again and again!

Used some ham off the bone (sliced at the deli) and havarti for the filling and it was wonderful! Very easy and tasty!

Bacon and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2013
Absolutely delicious with some changes!! Changes: Used the bacon grease instead of olive oil, use a whole medium yellow onion, 3 carrots, and 2 celery stalks, and about 7 white potatoes; Added a bit of minced garlic when the veggies were cooking; used black pepper instead because we don't like spicy; added some milk and used a mashed to smoosh some of the potatoes before adding the cheese to thicken it a little, added more cheese (monterey jack) and bacon because that's what we like. It was still soupy and not a "creamy" type of soup, filled with veggies that weren't mushy but just right. will make again and again!!

London Broil II

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2012
A little salty but really good. Following the advice of other commenters, I added just a bit of lemon juice to help break down the fibers to tenderize the meat better. Unable to grill due to snow, so we broiled it and it was fabulous. So tender!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2012
My Changes: Cut up a lemon to stuff along with the celery, used real butter instead of margarine, sprinkled just a little garlic salt on outside with the onion powder. Came out delicious!!
